It was a pain in the rump, the old seat as my son said " It smells like its got 28 years worth of fart dust in it" when we tore the old torn one off. Progress , continuing progress. 84 VR 120k brought back from the dead.

Sat the motor will be going back into the 83, hopefully with luck we might have it fired up and running before the end of the day. Still a lot of work ahead. This makes 3 out of the last 4 weeks that we, me and K-Rider have been working on it. We went riding last weekend for a change of pace. Pics will follow to show our progress.

There was mention of starting a new thread dealing with Ponch and his progress by one of our members. I thought this was a pretty good idea and after talking with the moderators, who thought it also a good idea we will implement it here in this thread. Freebird had a good point as many folks have the initial thread subscribed in case someone posts something up. That is valid also and what I will do is leave a link on that thread to this one. I will post updates here so folks can see whats going on. I will make this one a READ ONLY thread, this way we don't get to the point of the other thread with 10's of thousands hits and several hundred responses. I will also let folks know of updates in the original thread and y'all can post to that one. I am going to post updates from when we were 1st able to see David. Today marks my 32nd year of being lucky enough to be married to my lovely wife (and navigator), Belinda. Don't know how she has put up with me this long (I am TRULY a work in progress!)...but I sure hope she will stick with me at least another 32 so we can continue in the journey!

I have a new WD 2Tb caviar green sata drive that I can not get to format. I am running a clean new install of Windows 7 on a SATA drive using a slightly old MB, ASUS AV8 deluxe, 2.5 g ram AMD processor, 9800 ATI AGP video. 64 bit I have tried Windows format with no discernable progress. I have used Acronis which goes to 3 of 3 - Creating partition then has no progress. Any suggestions. I do see the drive in Windows Manage - Disk Management screen Also having issue getting VIA SATA driver to run on 7. MB has 3 IDE inputs & 4 SATA. Also have an add in card with 2 more SATA & 1 more IDE input. Gary

Heading out in the morning for our 2700 mile trip from Colorado Springs to Chicago, then down Route 66 to NM then back up to Colorado Springs....with lots of stops along the way! Taters and I are on our way to the orthopedic secialist to try to reset her wrist for the third time....please say a short prayer for her...this is our last chance to get it right...the next step is surgery....will keep you informed of her progress.....she has been a good patient thus far ,but I know she has been in a lot of pain since her accident....hope they can set it and cast it today........

Back in april I posted about a friend of mine who went down and was in a coma, [ame=http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=34735]another biker down - VentureRider.Org[/ame] . Up until now progress has been very slow and not a lot to report, But the latest update now is that he is up for short spells and using a walker to get around. yesterday the nurse took him to use his walker outside for the first, The word is that despite lack of muscle tone he moves at a pretty good pace. His memory is slowly coming back but is still somewhat sketchy and at times he has no idea why he is being kept in the hospital.the wing he is in is part of an old assylm, which the hospital is using while they under go renovations, so sometimes he thinks he is in prison and can,t understand why. When his mind is currant he is as sarcastic and lippy as ever always toying with the nurses. The Doctors say so far his progress has far exceeded their expectations.

May not mean sence to most but to some means a lot. Last night we tried new machine to estim Ken and with it he made toes on right foot move so that is major progress, thanks to you all... more later.
