Doing the Tail probably Monday of next week and also the Moonshine 28. Are there any must see areas around there? Going with my in-laws, basically no plans other than those two rides but we have the whole week to play around. Any suggestions?

So who all if anyone is heading from SE WI to the WI MD next week? Just wondering who I might be able to hook up with for the ride. I am planning to head out on Friday. I don't know if I can get off work Friday so I am not sure if I am leaving Friday morning or evening yet. My planned route at the moment is I94 to hy19 to 14 to 56. Open to other plans.

Kruis'n the Kootenays Motorcycle Rally I hope you have your reservations made and the GPS's configured, as we are getting close to needing numbers for the New Grand's Catering Dept. so we will need to know fairly close numbers of how many we will be feeding for the hosted meals. If your plans are still up in the air but you think you still may want to come please drop us a msg so we can talk. Looking forward to getting those roads all rode on and meeting all you folks!

Ok The plans have been laid for a thanksgiving colour ride. There will be two meeting places. and will take place Sat Oct 8(tommorrow morning) 1st meeting place will be at Rockwood (guelph line and hwy 7 ) at the Rockwood Petro Canada http://maps.gstatic.com/intl/en_ca/mapfiles/transparent.png 295 Alma (hwy 7), Rockwood, at 8:00 am 2nd meeting place will be at Mono Mills ( airport road and hwy 9 ) at the timmies at 9:00 am. I spoke with Alan yesterday and I will be getting the trailer back before they head home. I was unaware that we would be relaying it back east. Has there been any plans for this? There is no problem storing it at my house for the time being. Let me know what the plans are. Thanks, Wayde

I know there's a few going, whats your travel plans ? We are leaveing this Saturday stopping across the bridge and going up to the Keewenaw to spend Sunday night and then taking the day Monday to check out the sights. Tuesday west bound with no set plans except to be in Cody Sunday afternoon. We are takeing the laptop so we can check-up one everyone and cell phones to boot !!! Gonna have a little get together on 4th of July weekend at my house. BoomerCPO has a couple tires to change and squid and sweetnothing will be comming. Anyone that doesn't have plans on the 2nd of July is welcome to come on over. Beth said she plans on haveing BQ.

Hello Everyone: Wayde (67mini67) is enroute to Freebirds MD. He left Eastern Washington on Friday. He plans to stop here in Nebraska for lunch on Monday. I was pleased that he checked in with me last night about 4:00 PM. He was in Rock Springs WY at the time (775 miles). He still had 300 miles to go before his two night stop in Longmont. CO. He was doing fine dispite running in cool wet weather the entire way, even encountered temps in the mid 30's and snow at elevations above 6000 feet. I look forward to meeting Wayde on Monday. Hoping to add MD to my plans for next years travels. Ride safe everyone...Mark:)

My friend and I are planning on possibly riding to the Veterans Memorial Wall (Arlington,Va.), and I have never been. Just wondering if anyone else has made these plans here in our general neighboring states or in our area. We would be leaving here, Olive Hill, Ky. on Friday, May 27 at 2:00 pm to ride to Arlington,Va. From here it is about 7 hrs none stop. We would like to take our time and be there for the Sunday morning trip to the wall,then start back for home that evening. Must be back home on Monday, May 30 th by 12:00 noon. Would love to meet up with some of you folks if you have made plans to go. I told my friend JD, that I would check to see if any of you all are going/or making plans before we make any final decisions. I have looked at RFTW site and information. But I think we are a little to late to get any of the discounts and so on. I feel like we would maybe be intruding on a good thing by not making plans in advance. We decided that we would become members next year and try and meet up with them. Their deadline for hotels and so forth was in April. This would be a nice annual event if someone would like to take on the responsibility of such a plan. Or maybe someone has. I did a search and came up with nothing. Well I sold the bike and trailer to a new member out of North Carolina they picked it up this morning. Hated to see it go but due to a wrist injury I haven't been able to ride since last May and it just was not fair to the bike to have it sit. I still have planes to be in Cody for the rally look for me in a 1939 Plymouth Rat Rod. I still will be here if any one needs help on there bike. Plans are if they get my wrist taken care of in the next year, I will buy a new venture in 2 years if Yamaha has up graded the Venture if not look for a used again Everyone have a great summer

Since winter will be upon most of us soon enough I was just wondering on your plans (if any)for the bike this winter. In January, when winter really sets in here, I plan on pulling down the front end and polish the forks and trees. Thats something I have wanted to do for a while. The lower legs look like crap right now. While the fairing is off and if the money holds out I might go ahead and install the new gauge set-up from Ponch. I like the tach in there better then the three gauges originally offered. Also may rebuild my driving lights using LED bulbs instead of the incandescents and rewire the whole thing. Price is a concern though since the cost of each bulb is 112 bucks. Maybe by then I can find a cheaper set. Flanders G2 bars and extended SS throttle cables might make it into the mix this time too. That should just about wrap up the mods to the bike for a long time to come. Yea, righttttt:smile5: -
does any one know if a 650 v star drive shaft would fit our knuckle? i have some cray plans for a 83 vr i just picked up and was wandering.

I found a set of plans (free) for building a bike cargo trailer using a roof carrier. Looks pretty simple...even for someone like me! And at less than $400 for the parts...a LOT cheaper than most! Thought someone might be interested. http://www.intergate.com/~brianb/bike/MotorcycleCargoTrailer.htm

Just wondering if anyone in the downriver Mi area has a plans for a ride over the weekend. I plan on being home for that weekend and would like to see all you ugly ducklings again :rotfl::rotfl: Not saying I'm any better BUT it would be nice to see everyone again. Spoke with JRichard today about doing something during Bike Week. Since I no longer have weekends off I mentioned that ill most likely be down there on the 2nd (tue) or the 3rd (wed). No official plans are set but most likely we will get together at US-1 Restaurant in South Daytona for lunch. Dont know what everyone elses plans are but thats where ill be. Kinda sucks giving up weekends but hey, its a job........We have been meeting there for years. Kind of like an old shirt...... Hope to see some of yous there....

Hi Everyone, some friends and i are starting to make plans to ride to gettysburg this summer around the july time frame just woundering if anyone has made this trip and has any good "must see's" or places to stay ect as the plans start to become more permant i will post more details and if anyone from here would like to join us your more than welcome to.. or if you live along the way we can meet you then join us in route. thanks for your input. I turned in today my vacation schedule for all of 2010. Anybody else got your plans together. Ours is first come first serve so I always schedule early.

I have been in contact with Yamaha Canada regarding their support for any future rallies in Canada. I got a very nice response back from the events coordinator for Yamaha Motors Canada. He said that his team reported back that they were well received at our rally in Kitchener two years ago and says: "Yamaha appreciates your patronage and loyalty and we try to keep abreast of what the different clubs are up. I would appreciate knowing what your plans are for 2010. We can't guarantee anything at this time, as budgets and plans are constantly moving target and won't be finalized till later, but it is always good to know what's happening and if we can attend one of your function, we would be pleased to contact you and make arrangements." So....please let me know of any plans for a significant rally in Canada. I know that there was talk of another "Kruisin' the Kootneys" rally. Is that one confirmed yet? I want to say that I sincerely appreciate the fact that Yamaha Canada supported us at the Kitchener rally with caps, t-shirts, etc.
