Wife Beverly and I are going and staying at the Choo Choo. Will be there Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Heading back Thursday AM to the Dallas area with a meadering 3 days ride back. Going to ride the Natchez Trace, or at least a portion on the way home.

risers and throttle cables
2Whlsrollin replied to atlm's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
If I may make a suggestion, I would just go ahead and order the longer cables. If I remember they were about $35 bucks a piece. I put on the 1.5 risers on my 06 just after I got it in Dec of 05 and last summer in the Hill Country the top cable snapped. I guess the extra tension over time was the culprit. In retrospect I wish I would have put those on from the beginning. -
Have sent a Paypal for a set of black.

I'm not a huge hockey fan, however the first game played by the US and Canada was a great game to watch. What talent on both sides. This game today should be an awesome game. I'm pulling for the US, my wife is from Edmonton so no doubt who she's rooting for.

Just did mine a couple weeks ago with V7Goose's help. It was easy as folks say it is. Call PCW racing and order the clutch spring upgrade kit which consists of a gasket, spring and 1 friction plate to replace the weenie plate installed by Yamaha. It is the last plate and is a 1/2 plate hence the name weenie. They will try and sell you the rest of the plates as well but pass on that, just order the kit. Mine works like a champ now.

Having trouble with windshield vent

I had the same thing happen to me and I contacted Clearview, they sent me 3 in a small plastic bag and they are just like BB's from a BB gun. Go to Walmart and pick up some BB's and use those. Should work for you. -

Goose, I will help with the video. -
Yes it's easy to center, put a dab on the end of each light. Let it sit for a good while so it can dry. I left mine overnight.

I saw a Venture in Forestburg TX awhile back that had replaced both stock mirrors with a style that had LED turn signal indicators in them. Anyone know where to get these?

Congradulations, I bet a small percentage of us can say that. I am hoping to join you soon. 74,000 on my "06" bought it new in Dec of "05". And it helps I live far enough south that it does not go into hibernation in the winter.
