  1. According to their website their flat rate includes insurance and brokerage.... but at a $40 base fee, it could get quite expensive to order something from them. Once the cost of the item is over $500 it starts to become a bit more reasonable.
  2. What is the date on the tire. You can find the date stamp in an oval pressed into the side wall of the tire. Maybe what you are experiencing is a flat spot, or maybe better said a ridge on your rear tire. If you don't lean much the rear tire tends to get flat area in the center and then when you take a corner it flops over the ridge onto the side tread. You might mistake this for slippage.
  3. By the way,,,, what's with the carbs that you think you have to pull them apart?
  4. WHAT????? no road this summer,,, you need some help again???? Don't know about the carb kit thing, but the red hose would be original and easy to replace. Don't take it out until you have a new one, then just screw them together and pull the new one in as you take tho old one out. Maybe be able to find some time to visit,,, you never know!
  5. So now when you push the button, is there power at the horn,,, unhook the wires from the horn to test this.
  6. Could be the first of many, so get ready for spoilage!
  7. Is there power to the relay?
  8. Next time you'll do well to take notice of the spelling,,,, some ladies can get quite upset about that!!!
  9. Is there power to the horn when you push the button?
  10. Might I suggest something back yard: Clean up the hole, ruff it up a bit with coarse sand paper, and then fill it with JB weld. Give it at least 24 hours cure time. In the mean time, clean up the shaft with fine steel wool and get a measurement on it, so that you can drill new hole into the shifter. Keep it well greased and you should never have to worry about it again. If it does go again, should you ride that scoot that long, then you will have experience in just how to do it.

  13. Good end to a long story,,, now let's pray that the future has many glorious sunrises.
  14. Nice job,, let us know that ball setup works out.
  15. If it's an 86, then tings you'll need to have done, either already done or shortly in the future: - Carb diaphragms, - Grease the swing arm with maybe some parts if the grease has left. - Steering head bearings will need to be adjusted and greased - Wheel bearings should be serviced at least. - Class system needs to be serviced. - Brake cylinders need to be taken apart and serviced as well as the clutch cylinders. - Grease the speedo cable and speedo head. - Take apart electrical connectors to clean a lubricate. - Check for cracks in the plastic, especially around the connection joints. Seems like quite a list, but it's all doable. The only real cost would the carb diaphragms.
  16. If it's been sitting for a long time,, the Class has probably not been serviced,,, so you need to get into it to solve the leakage issue. The pump and solenoids are located under the trunk. You'll need to dry out the silica gel to keep things dry and then if I were you, I would take the solenoids apart to make sure they are sealing properly and are corrosion free. By the time you take the pump assembly out and put it back in, you'll solve any leakage in the connections.
  17. Beer 30, Beer cart, Beerbulance, Beer hall,,, what's next,,,,,,Beer Bellie???? hope we don't get any pictures for sure.

  20. wow,,, they celebrate birthdays down under as well???? even at your age???? I thought that didn't start until you were over the hill.. So Saying: Happy Birthday yung un!
  21. In the picture are 3 solenoids, held in with 2 screws each. You'll need to take these apart to clean them, seems they are sticking a bit. You could find some evidence of corrosion in there. Take some fine steel wool, wind it around a piece of dowel and then attach it to a drill to clean them up. The important part would be the little raised tower at the bottom where the seal seats on. The barrel of the cylinder just needs to be clean and smooth, nothing happens there except for the piston to stay in place. Watch out for the small springs on top of the pistons,, they tend to get lost and damaged easily.
  22. Ordinary household ammonia will do the trick,,, they hate the stuff,,, it seems to make their eyes water, and also has an effect on their breathing capabilities. In one house we had, we had them little criiters in the knee wall area, and everytime I'd close up the hole a new one was made. So I put a dish of ammonia in that area, refreshed it for a day or two,,, and no more squirrels. When I put my head in there I could understand why. They never thought to break in again,,,, I couldn't blame them.
  23. They have special courses for that type of work in the universities nowadays. I think it's called ,,,,,,,, I had it but now I forgot,, don't worry, it'll come come to me sooner or later.
  24. You know it works better with pictures.
