  1. If there are really good clutch cover and stator cover inserts I would be interested.
  2. Yep!!!!!can almost see that, even from here,,,, almost none,,, oh wait, they're all gone don't see any anymore!!!!!! Time to get another load!!!
  3. Maybe more cost effective to buy a new antenna, you'll know it's going to work right, less driving around to find one long enough and the right diameter and they won't loose the top end again. They lost the top in the first place because the screw got loose, so what's going to stop the screw from coming loose again. It didn't necessarily back out, chances are the business end of the screw wore down and so released the stick.
  4. But????????? does it take calls from prospective employers???
  5. Commercials have a way of shaping our future,, they get us used to new ideas, new ways of doing things, new ways to talk, new ways dress,,, you name it. We should be watchful in what we allow ourselves to be subjected to. The back lash from this commercial shows somewhat how we feel,,, problem is, it's been tried once, it'll be tried again and soon commercials like this will be the norm. It'll be interesting to see how this will develop our thinking and tolerance a few years from now.
  6. It's a 1st gen item only,,,,, no need for them on a second gen, they're slow enough already.
  7. Clean the area real well, then Vaseline the area, especially in and around the letters. The clean the top of the letters with contact cleaner,,, now paint, let dry and clean away the smeared Vaseline. The paint you use,,,,well that's your choice.
  8. I read what was posted so far,,,, then I racked my brain,,, after I found something that I thought might look like it,,,, but could not come up with a better solution.
  9. If I remember correctly, a stud won't work because it will get in the way to remove the cylinder. I have tapped that particular hole to a 1\4-28 and it works very well,,,, at least Wizard765 hasn't complained in 2 years.
  10. Doesn't evaporate, you can smoke without it blowing up in your face, it doesn't cause things to rust, it cleans as it goes, and once your done with it, it kills thistles.
  11. Didn't have time to read all the posts, but can I have my input? I'm 5'10", 170 or so. I ride an 85. My wife is a little heavier than me ad about 5'9". When we started to ride together, she got strict instructions. Put both your hands on my shoulders and then mount up when I say ok,,, not before. First time was ok, but then it degraded so I started to do the safety thing, I left the kick stand down until she was set. Forgot to do that once, and I'll not forget that night, I sure knew I was of the male gender. Fast forward to this week. The first time she got on, I wondered if she had got on yet,,, yep, she now knows this thing real good,,,, oooppps, Sunday was a different story, she forgot something and I had to hang on, but she noticed and said,,, I'm sorry and the rest of the day went just fine. The other thing she has learned is that once in the saddle she becomes a bag of wheat. If she needs to move, it's when we are going 20mph or better, under that, she sits still. We're learning,,,,,,,, 7th season this year!!!
  12. I can feel your pain,,, I think I'm going to have to spend some cash on that fertilizer stuff. Seeded parts of my lawn 4 weeks ago, still waiting for real grass.
  13. HEY looookie,,,we got some pictures,,,,,,, looks good Dan, iffen I was closer I come to help you, I'd even use my own camera...
  14. Get well soon Kenny,,, I hear we need a good cook,,,, ice cream is ok, but look what it did to Big Tom, so we is in the need of good cokes!!!
  15. Seemingly our Father decided that she was better with Him than with us. For what ever reason, we may never be able to understand, but we Can trust His better judgement for He knows what the future will and would hold for her. For us, those left behind, it's not so easy to carry on, unless we can leave it all with Him. So I will pray for the Comforter for you and your family, and that through the tribulation you now feel, you may also be able to see a future.
  16. Now all I need is some money,,,,, anybody ready to donate??? Wow, what history, and what a find!!
  17. I did some research, hope it helps. Fiche#............ Part#............... Yamaha........ Flatout......... YamahaSportsPlaza 1 ........... 26H-1258-00-00............... N\A.......... $30.71................... N\A 26.......... 26H-1256601-00............................... $47.02.................. $34.64 28...........90445-092K1-00................................$6.60.....................$4.62 30...........26H-12576-01-00..............................$36.69....................$27.03 31...........26H-12579-01-00...............N\A..........$21.12......................N\A 33...........26H-12577-01-00.............N\A............$60.78......................N\A 51...........26H-12589-00-00.............N\A............$22.05......................N\A 53...........26H-12588-01-00.............N\A............$11.88.....................$8.75 From my research it looks like Flatout Motorcycle is the place to try. Just because they show that the parts are available, doesn't mean that their parts fiche is up to date. Maybe a call to confirm availability would be a smart thing to do. The way it looks to me, if you need all the hoses, you'll need what's listed above. Some you could make up yourself, some you'll have to become creative, maybe using some straight hose with steel or copper elbows or straight joiners. As mentioned before, you could check out your local NAPA for some help in getting some of the hose pieces. Another note of interest: Flatout does not ship outside of the USA, so if you need the part and they have it, you need to become creative in that department as well. If you are from outside the US, you could try posting a request on this forum to see if someone could help out in that regard.
  18. Sounds to me like you have a keeper, better look after both of them well.
  19. Amy has a birthday????? When was the last one???? She don't look old enough to have one yet,,,, but I guess somehow she's got to keep up with Tom. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY,,,,, enjoy the next year in good health with lots of smiles.
  20. Nothing makes healing go as fast as a good reason to do it,,,,, I know, work and income is generally a good reason, but not nearly as good a as good ride. Enjoy your new toy, looks good, you two ride with pleasure.
  21. If memory serves me correctly,,,, if you loosen the rad you can then loosen the front headers enough to do the job. The rad is held in place with 4 screws, so wouldn't take a lot to find out. You only need enough room to be able to lower the collector so that the bracket clears the oil pan.
  22. My 85 did that 2 times, both times after or during riding on some fresher tar and chip. I found a stone stuck in the wiring on the bottom of the oil pan,,, since then it hasn't happened again, but then I have not been riding on any tar and chip either.
  23. Found just what we were looking for,,, still some work to be done,,,,,OH crap!!! it's sold!!!
  24. WHAT????? The Warden up on the roof and no PICTURES,,,, do we dare believe it???
  25. The only real way you are going to know if it's charging is to check it with a volt meter. It doesn't need to be an expensive one, but would be nice if it was digital. Then you can see what the battery shows when still, and what it shows with the engine running. You can also check by how in either case how bright the lights are, but it doesn't give you anything real to go on. A multimeter is a real worthwhile investment. I have several, mostly cheap ones, 10 bucks or so, because when I needed one it was cheaper to buy on than to go back home to fetch one. The left side of the scoot is left when you're sitting on it,,, the side that is not left, is the right side, or wrong side, depends on how you look at it,,,,, now I've even confused myself.
