  2. Hope to be of help: 1st gen: The Venture was first built in 83 and continued to 91,,, then was reintroduced in 99, but was a different animal altogether, but with the same engine and name, hence 2nd generation. Cage: Yep, your not in the open,,, your in a cage,,, could be anything with all that 'protection' Scoot: Slang for anything on 2 wheels,,, also kind of a love term for our most loved machines. Leo: Law Enforcement Officer
  3. Alright,,, got it all together,, boy,, that took a while, had to get parts from all over North America. When you pay, Paypal, (cnorg (at)silomail.com) please send me a PM with your address so that I can ship a set to you. Thanks Carl
  4. Looks good. Do they actually do what they are supposed to? and how did you bend the plexiglass?
  5. We had a problem with them there woodpeckers,,,,so we fired them and got robins instead,,, now, one is short and the other is rockin and if you had been at the meet & greet yesterday you could have met both of them,,,, and as far as the woodpeckers are concerned, I heard they were headed for Hagersville because the hunting was real good.
  6. Looks like a good find for you Gary,, hope it works out well.
  7. So just so you know,,,,things can be done,,,, hope it meets with your satisfaction. Don has given me more training as well,,,,, here you have the effects of a spatula that I borrowed from Marca, but if I need an 8 lb sledge,,,, well there's one behind the door,,,,, now if I only could lift it!
  8. It's all together,,, almost, just waiting for Bob to deliver the banjo bolts today. Then all will be ready for pick up or shipping. I just need to get the final price yet for the stainless. I had 10 sets made, so I'm not sure what the discounted price is..
  9. It's the beard,,, should have left it on, now you scared it away.
  10. Hi, I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, I came down here to Madrid, Spain for a short vacation unfortunately I was mugged at the park on my way to the hotel where I lodge, all cash, credit card and my cellphone were stolen from me but luckily for me I still have my passports with me. I've been to the embassy here in Madrid but the Police here are not helping issues at all and my flight leaves shortly from now but I'm having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let me leave this hotel until I settle the bills because I don't have any money with me here, the amount needed now is just $1,850, so I will be glad if you can help me with this amount... I am so confused right now, but thank God I weren't injured because I complied immediately, though, I suffer little injury on my left arm. I'm freaked out at the moment, so I really need your assistance to get back home soon and I'll surely pay you back upon return. Waiting to hear from you today. Thanks. Mike Goeman.
  11. he did what??????
  12. Easy now,,,,, Don didn't want anybody to know about that. I agree, because I just don't feel like 'working' today. She knows better, and is not going to waste her time.
  13. Looks like time for an aftermarket type antenna,,, I think you'll be much happier.
  14. 8x50x 2sides x 2walls plus the end walls + about 2000 sq ft, and then the ceiling 12 x 50= another 600 so figure at least 3000 sq ft x how many coats?
  15. That's kind of what Don was saying I think,,, If I remember correctly there was mention of a trader this site of the border, and we need to catch him,,,, and who best to do the job other than somebody who is incognito. At my age, action happens regularly. When she speaks, I jump, when she calls I run, when she looks I hide.
  16. And I no longer do FB,,,, even if it's private,,,I wonder,,, it just isn't worth it.
  17. It would be the KILL SWITCH,,,, yep never use it, then don't even think of it.
  18. Thanks for all the best wishes guys and gals,,,, hope it works out well for you all. Don says there not a lot to do really, we are mostly a well behaved bunch,,,, buuuuttt that might change rather uniquely in the next little while,,, guess I need to practice a little here and there to get to know how to do things,,,,, so if you notice that your post is deleted, or moved or edited or just generally made a mess of, you can take comfort in the fact that I have been at work and trying to do my job. Generally speaking though, I don't think I'll loose any sleep over this and am looking forward to be a help in keeping this forum the best on the web.
  19. Nope Nope and Nope, door does not slide against inside of block, it slides against a piece of wood, 2x6, 2x8 or what ever size you use. You could just frame the inside of the door with one layer of 2x8 and then build a frame inside the door opening to 'hang' the door and hardware. Some picture of my garage door. 1) show headroom needed,,, mine is low rise so you need at least that much room 2) side framing, we used 2x4, but 2x6 is better for you need the width to fasten it to the block wall 3) show hardware at top corner 4) shows where the spring goes and you can see the amount of room needed for the spring to mount 5) another shot of the corner hardware. You could go with a one piece door but you kick your butt even with sore legs.
  20. Scroll down on the site, it will give you the opening size. It shows how many 2x6's thick you need to have on the sides as well as the headers. The door actually slides on the inside of the last 2x6 in the opening, so if the door is exactly 8' wide then the finished opening needs to be 3" smaller, 1 1/2" on either side. So you will need to have 3 uprights on either side the width of the block, so if the block is 8" then 3 2x8s, plus a 2x10 header, keeping in mind that you need a place to attached the spring for a door opener and a place for the hardware to attach to above the door itself. I hope I got this right.
  21. We'll miss you for sure,,,, God bless your life until then.
  22. Maybe this will help: http://www.carpentry-pro-framer.com/garage-door-framing.html
