  1. Vridetv was travelling around the last week and just posted a sunset video of Rouleau SK, known better to millions of people as Dog River. The TV show was filmed 30 miles south of Regina for 6 years. The video gives a great idea of just how flat this part of country is and how an average small town in Saskatchewan looks. 2. What center stand device does goose have? Are there pics? Inquiring minds want to know.....and see....just because we are snoopy. Brian
  3. ITS ALL GOOD NOW,OK, it seems they have fixed the issue. OR AVG corrected their heuristics file, either way it seems to be fine now. When I clicked on the link earlier today AVG popped up and said that some code on that page had a virus. So be aware of what you click on. Brian
  4. That fellow you talked to is our own Condor. He had them made up for us in here and sold them to us. It made a big difference in the handling of my 85. But youre probably looking for an OEM one if youre going to be playing with it. Brian
  5. I had my 85's bags and trunk painted a tyear ago when all the clear coat was coming off the brown. The fellow that painted just took the paint code from here ( its in the history section, I think) and one of my side panels that had good paint OEM paint to match it with, and i am very happy with the result. You really cant see the difference unless you examine the bike really closely. (A couple of weeks ago it won best vintage bike at an area show/shine.) A giveaway other than the color is that I didnt have the accent colour put back on as I didnt like it so the bike does have the silvery/gold trim on fairing but not on side bags or trunk anymore. There are some pics before and after in my profile if you want to have a look. Brian
  6. Glorious Maxie Brown!!!!!
  7. THose look great on there! What is required to get those to bolt on? Would it be possble to get a couple of close ups of the brackets and a quick description>? Brian
  8. Hey Don go relax, and enjoy your vacation and downtime. you deserve it and probably need it!!! And try not to worry about the inmates in the asylum................ Brian
  9. If you ride thru any rain that will be a pain to clean up afterward , plus the fabric may hold moisture rotting the wood quickly over time. A friend of mine just went into walmarts kitchen center and bought some of the powder coated racking (similar to the bbq rack but heavier) and cut it to fit and installed. Brian
  10. Youre such a trubblemaker, Rick.....lol! :stirthepot: Brian
  11. I left the pvc spacer outta mine when Rocket put in the progressives and it rides great!. I hardly ever run air in my front forks and it never bottoms out. Occasionally when riding 2 up or if I am on a long ride in the country I will add a bit of pressure to firm it up for a bit sportier handling. Brian
  12. Has anyone used these? they are a tire pressure monitor that stays on your valve stem so you can see at a glance if your pressure was ok. These are different than most as they dont actually measure tire pressure, they will pop up a red flag if the tire pressure drops by 3 lbs or so and are supposed to be engineered not to leak if broken off or unscrewed. http://www.autogeek.net/kwtc.html Brian
  13. That just sounds like a question thats way too personal to be asked in here... Brian:think:
  14. Good luck and best wishes on the surgery. great progress!!!! Brian
  15. My 85 G1 had a slipstreamer on it when I got it and I always seemed to be buffetted while riding. I saw while looking at some pics that the slipstreamer was so short that my whole head was higher than the top edge. I ordered the largest Clearview with a vent for my 85 and found a huge difference in comfort. The clearview is at least 3 inches taller and 4 inches wider than the slipstreamer making for a far mor shletered ride. The clearview is also almost double the material thickness when compared to the slipstreamer. If you have some time to wait, check from time to time on the clearview site for blems, they discount them heavily and a lot of the time you cant see the issue. just type in blem into their search box and it will list Brian
  16. Hey Mike just come on up for a visit....lol! Actually its not like the video where I am at, its more like Nebraska around here , flat farmland and lots of sunshine and sky. We will still let you keep your rifles, its just the handguns that arent legal here. Last year there was only Dec, Jan and Feb that I didnt ride, so we arent that bad off... Brian
  17. I have some friends that are local leo's and have found out that they cant get a bead on my speed while riding my G1 85 until I am almost on top of them. Brian
  18. you were helping, as I hadnt seen it before. ive been here for awhile and missed it until yesterday. thanks for taking the time to list it. Around here information is real fluid and it just kinda flows thru so sometimes ya gotta catch it on the second or 3rd time thru. Brian
  19. To help everyone get into the mood for Canada Day on July1 here is a catchy new video. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWQf13B8epw&feature=player_embedded]YouTube- Canadian, Please[/ame] Brian
  20. nice, except for the owie on the corner of the fairing. My favourite colour for 85......lol! Brian
  21. There is a fix for the class, i would suspect that is your issue. You will probably have to get out your soldering iron and double check the connections on the class board. The fix is listed and documented in this site under the 1st gen section. its fairly simple procedure. Brian
  22. I guess its all about placement with them tassles,,,,,,lol! Brian
  23. Yes tekkies can do anything,,,,,,,,,given enuff beer.....lol! Brian
  24. Thats exactly what I used to cover a scratch on the fender on my 85. Just got some good glue and stuck it on. Brian
  25. If your main reason for putting the bigger tire on is to fix the speedo, why not try a speedo healer, it seems to work for quite a few guys in here. Then you can use the tire intended for the bike. Brian
