  1. Just talked to my buddy who is the sales manager at the local dealer. He said yesterday he talked to his rep and was told: "no changes...he said next year they will have a big vtwin in the bike but wouldn't say how big" either it will be the 1900cc raider motor or a totally new motor... if this is true, no thanks. i'll find something else with 4 cyls.
  2. Saw a White 2nd Gen parked in the driveway about 1/2 mile west of Wautoma about half an hour ago. Just wondering if it was anyone here. We are on the way to Air Venture in Oshkosh for the week.
  3. OK, I'll try to take another look tonight!
  4. Sorry, but I blame Nebraska and the Dakotas...talk to them! Actually: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAYMJnO9LBQ]YouTube- South Park The Movie - Blame Canada[/ame]
  5. I will agree 100% get what you can, it is worth whatever someone will pay you for it...just like anything else in life. The KBB and NADA are just references for a bank, but 99% of people looking to buy a used vehicle will check them right out of the gate. If nothing else, keep that in mind. I do not agree at all that chrome parts add any substantial value to selling something. Driver backrest, different pipes, clutch upgrade kit, yes they will add value. I don't think a person can expect to get what they put into them, but they do add value. You can opine all you want about the labor of love in adding chrome parts to a bike, but that doesn't add any functional value. I agree they are a great selling point and should be listed like you did in any add you run, but don't expect to get a return on your money with chrome parts. All that being said, if you have done your research and feel it is a fair price, then no one including myself should have any opinion that matters! Beside, you are the one who would have to agree on a deal to sell it, so all our 2 cents don't mean diddly!
  6. +1 on the pump that sits on the floor...had to use one a few years ago during the floods
  7. Just go to ebay.com and search for 170517128098
  8. No, I wasn't there last Thursday...one of the few days I haven't been in there
  9. If you are using the intercom that comes on the bike then yes!
  10. Nope, I always go to Mason City Powersports. I did see a blue 1st Gen Venture heading north on 65 out of Mason City last week though.
  11. If you are interested in J&M Headsets you can just call them at 1-800-358-0881. They will answer the phone fast and you can just tell them what kind of helmet you have and they will talk you through ALL their options. They are very friendly to deal with.
  12. Huge thank you! Turns out it was the tabs on the drive plate for the gear head that were sheared off. Pulled that out and replaced with the one you sent me and...success. No more guessing speed based on gear! Again, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A
  13. Yup, my post might not have been clear but when I said keep the stock parts I meant so when you sell the bike you can put the stock parts back on it and sell separately the extra parts you bought.
  14. I was just about to post an identical post regarding the window motor I bought. Very pleased.
  15. Come to Mason City and I'll introduce you to my neighbor and his friends. The ONLY problem I have with Harley's is the noise. I have the same problem with people who put loud pipes on any bike or car, but the majority of the noise I personally hear is on a Harley. There is no reason to have a bike that loud. It is rude and inconsiderate of other people. Just like a loud stereo in a car. It is disrespectful but so is every other aspect of our society these days so I don't think anyone really cares.
