  2. Looked great to me, Craig
  3. 5th is an overdrive, if you are running at 55-65 mph 2up on any type of grade it wont take a throttle roll on and will lug. You need to keep the revs up, try down shifting to 4th or 3rd, you can easily do 75 in 3rd. You may have another problem or you may just not be revving it enuff, wont cost you any time or $$$ to try downshifting. Good luck, Craig
  4. Buy a cheap lite cover on ebay, covers the whole bike, no one knows that the windsheild comes off, also keeps your seat dry and keeps the bike clean. I always cover my bike when I travel:080402gudl_prv: Craig
  5. Great Pics:thumbsup: Thanks, Craig
  6. I spent 4 months in Brooklyn Hts, while my Dad was in the hospital. I actually enjoyed the area, never felt unsafe, and I walked all over by myself. Lots of great little rest. nice little corner bars, and most of the people I met were very helpful. Dont think I would want to spend my life up there, but I did think it would be neat to spend a year or 2 there. Long Island College Hospital definetly sux, but thats a whole different story:bang head: Craig

  24. The Maxim X was water cooled, If I remember rite it had 5 valves per cyl. it was the more expensive model, I dont think yours is the Maxim X, I dont see the radiator. My buddy had one and we raced and swapped all the time, that was 25 yrs ago. I am sure a Maxim guy would be able to tell ya more. I always liked those bikes, had an 82 650maxim. Craig
  25. If you got that for a grand you stole it:thumbsup: they are great little bikes and they run great too. The maxim X was a fast 700, never rode the xj700. That bike will last you a long time. Craig
