Get the samsons, they are LOUD:yikes: Craig -
Hey Dan, squeeze the clutch handle in, let it out about an inch then put a wire tie on it, to hold it there. Let it sit over nite. Dont cost a thing and it works! Craig

Some new thoughts on clutch basket whine
cecdoo replied to straycatt's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Good luck with the experiment, I would be interested in your results. I put the I basket in 2 yrs ago, but my whine is back and just as annoying, mine really seems heat related, the longer I ride and the hotter the bike gets, the louder it whines. Craig -
Small world, we were up in that very area over the weekend, had trouble finding rooms in Wellsboro, Mansfield and Williamsport, finally found one in New Columbia. Ran into a couple on an HD at the restaurant we stopped at, they were telling us about this very place and how nice it was. If you are ever in that area again, take Rt 125 off 61 it is an awesome ride up over the mtns. Also I think the road Hummingbird is thinking of is 414 down thru Blackwell and along the river. If you are ever up my way give me a shout, I'll buy ya a coffee. Craig

I have been running the venoms for a few years, I always look at the 4 bars that cross the center of the tire, when they get low I replace the tire, last set on the rsv rear got 16K and they may have gone another 1000 miles but I replaced it when the center tread was about 1/16th left. I never ran a bike tire till the cord was showing, but thats just me. Craig

Nicely said and very true, hang in there Randy:mo money:

I bought one of these, it is cheap and flimsy but it works great!! If you just want to load an sd card and play music thru your tape deck, ya cant beat it. No wires, pretty good battery life. CHEAP!

I have been using that stuff for years, it is great. Use to be labeled Honda Polish, made by the same outfit. Craig

Pretty much the same ride we took last week, after Laconia we headed over to Kennebunkport Maine. Do not take your bike over 125 in VT, was told it was a great road! They lied:bang head:
