  1. we're parked for the heat wave. Full face helmets and Oklahoma heat don't mix. Riding at night is like heading full speed into a hail storm. There's creatures flying that I've never seen before!!
  2. My wife will come home w/ something for me, pair of pants, a shirt, etc. as if that was her only goal for the day. It's later I discover she got some stuff for herself as well, lol. Was I the afterthought? Doesn't even matter. Your wife managed a day off on her birthday, spent riding her bike for 8 hours, :dancefool:and still you think it was about you. She is indeed a remarkable woman, lol and you truly are a blessed man. Hope your mom is doing ok.
  3. Nothing but good experiences with MC Superstore. I'll continue to use them w/o hesitation.
  4. I just can't seem to organize enough to successfully plan for and use a GPS. I have the Nuvi 765T though, refurb, under 100 bucks, mounted on the bike. Screen is pretty washed out in sunlight but we do use it for locating food joints, maybe a hotel, fuel, etc., pretty much anything a smart phone would do. I'm still stuck in the paper map world but for value, the Garmin 765T is pretty slick.
  5. happens SOOOOO quick. As so many others, wonder if it was cell phone related.
  6. Hey Dave, hope you're doing ok! I went to Ace hardware and bought a couple 1 inch plastic coated pipe clamps when I did my RK pipes. They were effective, cheap and supported the pipes great. Just another option. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/looped1/RKpipestrap.jpg
  7. Congrats on a new bike, always a fun time. I switched too and still enjoy coming here and checking out what's going on.
  8. I wonder if Ride-On would have stopped that flat. Not exactly center line but very close to where Ride-On should be running. Maybe/maybe not. Pretty large gash. I'm about to add it to my tires. Got 3 bottles waiting on me to git r dun. Glad you're ok Dave!!
  9. Really nice job. Would look awesome with a chrome tubular luggage rack on top to go with your bag rails and chrome!! good job
  10. Pretty sure you'd never regret it. I consider it the sleeper in the modular helmet world. My wifes mom is a cancer survivor. My wife got the "Pink Ribbon Rider" edition of this Gmax helmet. Very cool graphics, she loves it.
  11. I've owned several in your suggested price range. Scorpion Exo900, painful on my forehead. HJC, no thanks, same thing. Bell Revolver, cheap. Wife and I both have these now. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/38/36650/ITEM/GMax-GM54S-Modular-Street-Helmet.aspx Incredible air flow, for real. I've never been able to tell I even had helmet vents on other modulars. Removable, washable insides and tinted inner visor. A really nice modular for a budget price. I've worn it all day without forehead pain.
  12. Nice! that entire 309 looks like great riding. Always end up in the NW corner of the state. Need to venture out more. Magazines" on the list this year.
  13. Spent a week there recently. Had a rental cage and took 89A to flag, then the Grand Canyon. Wished the entire time we had the bike. Highway 90 from Noel MO. east to hwy 37 Riding anywhere in and around Eureka Springs to Harrison to Jasper Arkansas.....whoo pig soooieee. Talimena scenic byway
