  3. Dont use spade connectors on stebels, drill 2 holes in rear of black plastic, thread wires thru holes and solder to posts, then fill area with clear silicone, cant take credit for the idea, another guy on here suggested it, and it works great, keeps wires away from pipes. Craig
  4. Sounds like you are really roughin it out there:happy34: Craig
  5. I wear safety glasses you get at home depot, tinted and clear, they work great and they are cheap. Craig
  6. Hey Dan, which size clearveiw sheild do you have on your bike? I just ordered the xxl, I want to cut down on the wind and noise as much as possible for wife. Sorry for the hi-jack, but that pic made me curious:think: Craig

  8. Thanks for all that you do Don, Now go spend some time with your family. Craig
  9. If you are having tailbone issues you need to talk to Rick Butler, he can fix that for you using your own seat. Probably alot quicker and cheaper than buying another seat. PM Rick:080402gudl_prv: Craig
  10. Yep me too?? Craig
  11. I would stay with stock size front tire, but what the heck do I know:whistling: Craig
  12. Thanks for the info, I was having a heck of a time with the site yesterday, now I know why. I would be happy to help with the costs, but I could be just as happy with alot less features, all the extras on the site are nice, but are they really necessary. Craig
  13. Very sorry to hear about your problem, I will keep you and your wife in my thoughts and hope for a speedy recovery. Hang in there buddy. Craig
  14. I just did the swap last week, I didnt use any silicone, and I dont have any leaks, The clamps I used came off my fishtails they are pretty wide but dont quite cover the whole joint. They do cover the slits though. I did get some stainless HD clamps on ebay and they are narrower. Mite be your problem:confused24: Craig
  15. Funny you are commenting on the difference between 1st and 2nd gen, Took my wife for her first long ride on the 06 RSV today, first thing she noticed was all the noise, both wind and whine, she didnt care for it at all. Guess will be looking into the xxl clearveiw. Then she was surprised at all the shifting I needed to do to maintain speed in the hills, with all the noise she wasnt able to hear the radio. She did think the seat was very comfortable, but didnt like that she couldnt put her arms up on the backrest, like she could on 1st gen. I was surprised to find my rite hand falling asleep, sure missed not being able to adjust fairing vents? I liked the feet forward position and the looks, but I think the 87 was a better bike. Craig

    Boats

We have had a few boats over the years, from a small tri-hull to a 28ft deck boat, but we had the most fun on a couple sea-doos easy to maintain, easy to store, just like riding a motorcycle, well almost:whistling: good on gas too. Craig

  21. Congrats on the new ride, you could always look at chrome goodies till it stops raining:whistling: all kinds of chrome goodies to add on. Craig
  22. Yep, had the samson fishtails on, I really liked the way they looked, cool kinda retro, but a little too loud for me, I just put a set of slash cut harley pipes on, look pretty good, sound much better. Craig
  23. Ok, how about crushed heathbar cheesecake? tastes pretty good in a DQ blizzard, ought to make a pretty good cheesecake. Craig
  24. Hey, we are planning on being there and will gladly help cook, but I never roasted a pig before?? I would be happy to donate to have someone else do it:whistling: After watching you guys run around last year, do you really want to add something else to your to-do list:no-no-no: Craig
  25. Just sold my 87, guy that bought it hadnt been riding very long, and never rode a bike this heavy, I told him I would be glad to take him for a ride, but he wasnt gonna ride it till he paid for it. I had an inexperienced rider drop another of my bikes on a test ride, learned my lesson the hard way. Craig
