Seats for 2nd gen Venture
cecdoo replied to straight pipe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yep I had Rick re-do my 1st gen seat, he did a great job, made a world of difference for my wife. I wouldnt hesitate to let him re-work a seat again. He is great with the turn around time as well. Craig -
Sounds like great news, I hope he keeps getting alittle better each day. Craig

I was just wondering about the driver a passenger floorboards on my 06, do they have a clearcoat on them? and could they be polished up to shine like chrome? Craig

Guess it all depends on how much you enjoy the group, and how much you want to go, life aint always fair:no-no-no: Wife and I go out to dinner alot, we dont drink, everyone else does, We always just split the bill even though I know ours isnt quite as much as theirs, do to drinks. But its a good group we enjoy ourselves and its alot easier than trying to figure out the bill. If you feel you are being taken advantage of, and that dont sit rite with you, dont go. Just my 2cents:080402gudl_prv: Craig

Thanks, I tried bending the connectors but couldnt quite get 90deg. I think I will look into some preformed 90s. Sorta like where the horn fits, so I think I am going to leave there, it is going to be a pain cleaning the pipes though. maybeI will carry a small pair of wire nippers, just in case I need to nip a wire quick if it shorts:rotf:Craig

I did the stebel horn upgrade, Thanks to all the help on this site it went great, also Thanks to Larry, his bracket is perfect for the job fits and looks great!! I removed the chrome cover from the rear as recommended and put a big dab of clear silicone on the top of the unit and stuck that cover rite on top, it looks great, also siliconed the side chrome cover on, my question, do you guys use some kind of covering over the wires, like a rub guard, to keep the insulation from wearing off? or is that overkill, also the connections seem dangerously close to the tail pipe, is that going to cause a problem? I have visions of those air-horns going off because of a short somewhere, and not being able to shut them off. Thanks Craig

I never had one before this bike, and I am trying to use it and get use to it. My biggest problem so far is pulling out from a lite in first, and as I put my foot up on the board, I bump the shifter and knock it into neutral, not a good thing! But I will give it a couple more rides before I decide to eliminate it or not. Craig
