A little bird has informed me that the North Alabama Road Riders have had their first fund raiser for St. Jude and they feel they have this thing in the bag. The bird didn't tell me how much they raised but I know it was a multi-family yard sale, and I know those things can pull in some dough. We are doing ours by our St. Jude Auctions and money raised by other members and the main contribution comes from Vogel. So lets not let them beat us at our own game. They are a small group of around 35-40 members , and they are all concentrated together in Al. That makes it easy for them to do things together. So anything you members can do to help beat this ragtag little group of wing riders, bring it on.

:confused24:I was bidding for a pair of tank emblems for a 96 RS. I have a 2007 RSTD but don't like the tank emblems. Anyway the pair was being sold individually and all I won was the right side. I was bidding against some one else and bid the same for both thinking I would be beat or win them. Wrong!! well if any one has a set or just the left I would like to buy them from you or I will sell the right hand one. Live and learn I guess. Thanks Reno

I know this has been beat on before but let me beat on it more. RSV quit running 3 times. Waited 15 minutes and it started. Ran another 1000 miles or more and did it again. Read about the problem on this forum. Told the dealer what I already knew and he agreed to call Yamaha to inquire. I got a new fuel pump under warranty. He won't tell what Yamaha said. Like Willie said I'm "on the road again" so I'm happy. Thanks for the information.

Anybody know the approximate 0-60 time for a stock RSV? I just want to know when I'm sitting at the line and need to get in front of somebody, what cars might be tough to beat.

Ok folks: You guys (n gals) are amazing and have helped me so much. Here we go again. Sometimes when downshifting it skips second and goes right to neutral from 3rd. Not all the time and seems to work more often than not but I believe it is getting worse. I know someone here will be able to tell me what the problem is. I don't have 2nd popping out on acceleration. Upshifting is smooth and never misses a beat. A few weeks ago I had to take the clutch cover off and have a look at the thingy with the pins. A couple of them were loose so I fixed that and all was good. Any ideas? HELP?? Wayne

I don't know if I missed the thread but our much loved RSV is featured in a touring cruiser shootout in Rider magazine the September issue. I just got it in the mail today. we beat out the kaw, and Victory and tied with the Ultra Classic. This was a battle of the big vees.

Where is a good place to buy the Hoppy power converter? I don't have a pep Boys where I live. Is it easy to wire up on a RSTD?. Jim Bell A computer once beat me in chess, but it didn't survive kick boxing.

I could use you all to way in...I have my steering head apart and can not get the bottom bearing to unseat. It is sitting in a plastic cup. Like to know how much I can beat on this and still have usable parts when done. New parts are days away and I need to ride soon..... -

Now - that has you intrigued, or you wouldn't be having a look. DIL = Daughter-In-Law. Married 4 weeks and told us 2 days ago we can expect to be grand-parents (first time for us) in a little under 9 months time. Can't beat that. Enjoy the photos. (Yes, they're mine. Nothing like being a pro photographer. Saves paying someone else to do the job!)
