  1. I would love to have that for my Venture. Do you have any pictures of it install on your bike?
  2. Folks I dont want to part this bike out. Make me an offer.
  3. Its time to let one of my bikes go. I barely ride enough for one and I cant sell the one that my wife bought me. This bike was my favorite. It always ran well and just plain felt better than my 89. All of the plastic is in great condition. As you can see it has some great add ons. It hasnt been on the road in a few years. It has always been stored indoors. I went to ride it a few years back and I had no back brake. It was fine when I put it away on the fall. Lets start at $3000 and go from there.
  4. So I find about 7 good threads on this after I make the post! It looks like I'm off to bleed the left front caliper as well as mess with the proportioning valve.
  5. So the time has come to sell my 86. She has been and still is a great bike. I just don't need 2. I have two problems that I need to repair first. At the beginning of the season I found that my rear brakes were gone. The pedal goes to the stop with no resistance. I bled the brakes and have found that if I pump the pedal I can get some stopping action. Do I need to bleed again or has the master cylinder failed? I did the clutch mod on this bike where you add the additional plate. I have not liked the feel of the clutch since doing the mod. I will probably restore that factory condition.
  6. Dan, my 89 has hesitated since the day I got it. I have run it on nothing but Sea-Foam for a year. Same problem. I'm wondering if it will run better on gas. What do you think?
  7. The one thing that you couldn't do was speed through Naples today. Where do all of those people come from??? I bought a grape pie on my way out of town. It just came out of the oven and was still warm when I got home.
  8. It was a beautiful day in Upstate NY! Perfect for taking a ride to Naples and enjoying the Naple Valley Grape Festival. Don't ever pass up the chance to try grape frozen custard!
  9. So two months ago you overdosed it on Seafoam...why should it need it again? Both of my Gen 1 bikes pump for 10 to 15 clicks when I turn them on. I regularly have one sit for a month and the other for a couple of weeks. 1/2 choke, bump the starter with a simultaneous small twist of the throttle and either one is off and running immediately.
  10. Thanks Jim. I am very proud of Kyle. The event was a huge success. My blue 89 was just to the right of the camera but I couldn't get the camera man to pan over to it.
  11. Berrymans is a problem solver. Seafoam is a problem preventer. Guys, I have never understood the comment "run it hard". What is that supposed to do that running it normal wouldn't do?
  12. Welcome Lou! I have a blue 89 called the Blue Streak and a brown 86 called the Brown Streak. The Brown Streak has been known to leave skid marks... I love the bikes. They have been nothing but fun. The help from the folks on this site has been priceless. http://www.raymondstacy.com/2.jpg
