  1. I can relate. Prayers offered up.
  2. Sorry I didn't respond to your post, but it's kinda tuff when in the hospital on a Kindle Fire. I put a Rivco stand on my '99 last year and never even remember seeing that canister...and it's a Ca bike. Maybe like Don said a PO removed it?? I did have to move a smog valve? mounted to the inside of the frame to the outside that was a PITA.
  3. Besides the battery you might check the starter ground...
  4. I've had that problem with a couple of new2me Ventures. I'll PM you a write up that worked for me.
  5. Condor remembers.......
  6. The style id really like to find is the one pictured on the H website attached to an RSV......
  7. I never thought id be saying this but life style changes have caused me to look for a sidecar.... ive really like the hannigan styling... but finding one used may be a problem..... any other suggestions???
  8. The ad for a new one is still in the classies under 1stGen parts. They were a few bucks more but 50 used is a decent price...@
  9. If all you're going to use it is a couple of weeks a year, and the rest of the time it'll sit, it's a great way to go. If you plan on dragging it 50 weeks and storing it 2, you might want to look for something a little higher on the robust scale....
  10. Don't know what to say.... Get well Larry.. Prayers sent and continuing.
  11. Loved that movie. Netflix also has it....
  12. Just a side note. I just shipped the last brace in stock about a month ago and since the 'need' has slacked off to.. 2-3 a year.., I may not order another 10... the minimum amount. I suppose if I were to get preorders for 6-8 I'd reconsider. And as Don stated previously these are not Super Braces, but well made and make a great improvement in handling for the 1stGen.
  13. Great shot Bill....
  14. Its still the best one out there... Check with Bohanon on price. You may do better..
  15. I think you'll find that those head hangers are cosmetic, and don't offer any structural support. Just leave them off. The 1stGen head doesn't have a place to mount them anyway...
  16. Very interesting. I bet that place will be like a zoo for a couple of weeks in August....
  17. Good idea if they weren't a pull/pull setup. Even if you slacked off on everything you still have to deal with the junction box. The best and only way in... MHO.... is to remove the carb assembly out the left side and then remove the cables. Install them before mounting the carbs. BTW I also find the wooden handle of a small ballpeen hammer a better tool to do any prying if need be...
  18. Thanks for the pics Mike. See how the back forms a wall up to the passenger seat? That's what I don't want. It doesn't allow any movement toward the rear. That's what I ran into with the pillow tops. Looks cushy, but forms a barrier, and for those of use that are tall and have extra padding in the butt area I keep pushing against that rise trying to gain some room, and on long rides it cuts off circulation... numb butt...blisters.. because I'm subconsciously trying to get back off the tank and gain some leg room. Attached is sorta what I'm looking for. I didn't have any problem with the saddle on my '83VR, and I've pulled a few 10 hr+ days on it.
  19. A one piece for a horizontally challenged rider is just what I need. And... being a one piece is what I'm after. Riding an OEM two piece doesn't allow me to get back off the tank far enough. I think I'll check Russel too... .Just checked the Day Long site and the pic for the RSV shows a 2-piece. I'll have to call.... I can see that would be a problem, but mine's covered any time I'm in a motel. The cover actually did get rained on once....
  20. Too bad they don't have one to fit the RSV. After looking at what they did to the transition from the rider to the passenger on the RSTD I'd have been interested to see what they would have done for the RSV. I'm still looking around to possibily pick up another seat. Thought about riding down to Corbin and have them build one while I wait.
  21. That's the PITA part. Some get lucky...some get very frustrated....some actually know how to do it....

    Gun Club

It's all about $.... The developer will increase the taxable base a lot more than the gun club. Eminent Domain.
  23. Yes and no. If you know what you're doing it's a piece of cake, but if you've never done it before it can be daunting. Don't ask me how I know that.... There are several places beside the clutch slave that could be causing the dreaded puddle. To get to the slave cavity you'll need to remove the middle gear cover, and quite possibily need a new gasket, and if you're lucky you might be able to spot the cause. To light things up behind the cover a mirror will make light of things. Just bounce the suns rays in there....
