  1. put a yellow top optima in each saddle bag and get some custom made cables, you'll probably never have to worry about batteries again!!
  2. Even if he did slow down, how do they know if he slowed done by 20mph? What if he only slowed down 19mph? Do they get a before and after radar reading? BTW, I do move over. I move over for any vehicle on the side of the road. I changed blown out tires on semis on the side of the interstate for 9 years. It's pretty frightening out there when folks don't move over while you're trying to remove a recap wrapped around a trailer axle.
  3. Oh crap!!! My bike has 98,000 miles on it and I've never rebuilt the carbs!! Should I go tear em off right now and do it?
  4. Head Gasket? do you mean valve cover gasket?
  5. Is the garden hose broken? Spread em and spray!!
  6. Very nice!! I like it!!
  7. Yup, the 165 is more gooder. It'd be nice if someone made a 165/90R15 to try out once to get a little more height.
  8. Thanks, I think the shipping may be a bit pricey though, let me know if you find it. The coax can be cut as long as there's about a foot left on the base. I can solder a new connector on it.
  9. Mine felled off finally. Just looking for a replacement, not really wanting to invest in the Marshall Mod. I ghetto fabbed up a "universal" am/fm from VatoZone but it's way too short and looks kinda silly next to the CB antenna.

    New exhaust

Those things look HUGE!! Im already dragging mufflers through the turns. I'd hate to see how early those start dragging.
  11. I run regular. I get 28-30mpg no matter if I run regular or premium, ethanol or 100%
  12. Looks like the new 2012 Ventures.
  13. I think I just pooped a little watching that....
  14. Why would you take the rotor off? The rotor really shouldn't be messed with. Every time it is removed or installed, it could warp the rotor.
  15. you could still be in 3rd safely. I usually don't shift into 5th until 65-70mph.
  16. easiest tool out there, just "right click" and "resize image" http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/
  17. Left handed drill bit and easy out set. http://images.marketworks.com/hi/55/55124/cobalt_screw_extractor.jpg
  18. That YSS Shock is a good looking shock. I have a Works Shock that I bought off eBay from Works. It was a demo shock that was returned. They rebuilt it and sold it. It has an 1100lb spring. I like it alot. Brian, I would be to worried about getting crud on the exposed shaft. Most automotive shocks have exposed shafts and last just fine. The Works shock has an exposed shaft. As long as there is a quality wiper seal, there should be no problems. If I remember correctly, the shock is mounted so the shaft is on the bottom so most crud would slide off the shaft.
  19. Aussie Annie had something done for her rear brake instead of using the foot pedal.
  20. There is another fuse box inside the right side lower fairing on the front of the motorcycle.

  22. Glad to hear that.
  23. You can change weights with no problems. The most important thing we can do about our oil is to stay away from "Energy Conserving" oils. http://www.dansmc.com/starburst2.jpg

    Nt700v

That's a good looking bike, but it looks like a V-strom. I think a V-strom 650 with some lower links would be the ticket. You can get a very nice used one for cheap. I wouldn't go buy a brand new bike for "around town" though. Actually, I wouldn't go buy a brand new bike for anything, but that's a discussion for another thread.
  25. I run Rotella T 15W40 and a Purolater PL14610 filter. Bike has 98,000 miles on it now. Rotella T is also JASO MA certified.
