  1. Very possible. I've aligned many a semi tractor trailers and it's amazing how fast an axle that is 1/4" off can tear up tires and the driver said the truck drove fine.
  2. Tires are overinflated and there's something wrong with the axle.
  3. Standard NGK.
  4. Paul Teutul agrees and throws a fit. http://www3.images.coolspotters.com/photos/42886/paul-teutul-sr-profile.jpg
  5. 3rd Gen Venture. http://www.bikerzbay.com/images/stories/YAMAHA_IMG/YAMAHA_2010/Yamaha_Stratoliner_Deluxe_2010a.jpg Put the trunk on it, taller shield, a little fatter tank, a set of crash bars with removable lower fairings and TADA!!! 3rd Gen Venture. I'd almost bet money on it.
  6. or the more he rides, the more comfortable and confident he his in the machine's abilities and pushes it even harder every ride resulting in increased tire wear.
  7. Were the speedometers corrected with a speedohealer? If not, you need to take off about 7 or 8 percent of that.
  8. Super Flexible 24", could be used to follow the contour of the trunk or the saddlebag. http://www.wearecb.com/store/procomm-kf2-b-2-foot-broad-band-super-flexible-antenna-black-p-3148.html
  9. http://www.wearecb.com/store/accessories-unlimited-au108-8-inch-vmt-adjust-a-match-tune-cb-antennas-p-885.html Here's the same thing at CB world. Specs show 8 inches. I agree that it wont talk very far, but most of the time it's used for short range communications anyways or just for listening. If one only wanted the listen to the CB, a coil of copper wire would be fine. You only need to worry about antenna SWR when transmitting.
  10. and here's an 8 inch you could easily hide in the trunk or saddlebag. http://www.westcoastmall.net/accessories-unlimited-8-inch-dialamatch-p-3511.html
  11. Here's a 13" you could put inside the saddlebag. http://www1.dealtime.com/xPO-RoadPro-Roadpro-RP-722-12-8-Magnet-Mount-Cellular-Look-CB-Antenna-Kit-1-Each
  12. Being as your bike and the Tour Deluxe are using almost the same amount of gas, I'd say there's nothing wrong. Welcome to the high plains of the west. You're gradually gaining elevation starting at Tulsa, OK and usually you're fighting a westward wind. When I lived in Amarillo, my speedohealed bike usually did around 28-30mpg and on really windy days, it was even worse. Plus the V4 requires a large amount of air and the higher up you go, the less air there is so the harder the engine has to work to make power.
  13. He's riding an unfamiliar bike in unfamiliar territory. I don't ride like to the bike's abilities on unfamiliar ground. I at least make 1 pass through before I tear it up!!
  14. I disagree. I like grinding parts. I like knowing where the bike's limitations are in regards to handling.
  15. Maybe it was an environmentalist and he felt so bad about killing an innocent creature that he couldn't live with himself.
  16. That's not true. Tomahawk Tires makes DOT certified retreaded motorcycle tires. They're even available in nifty colors. http://www.cycletires.com/faqs.htm
  17. I like them and think they're a good idea. I just won't pony up the money for the unit. If someone pulls over because they see a modulating headlight on a motorcycle, that's their problem for not knowing the law.
  18. Looks better then the first trailer I built. http://thereifixedit.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/cf3ae37f-07d1-4d11-8a6c-886682ad5e29.jpg

  23. Yep, Yellow Deere are the same way with air. It pushes it through pretty quick. Im just wondering if a piece of trash is caught in a valve somewhere. The older Green Deere tractors sometimes will have problems with air, but the construction stuff usually bleeds out pretty fast.
  24. Nice, Oliver's a great guy to hang around with and can ride pretty damn good. He whooped some butt at the dragstrip a few years ago at one of the RSW gatherings in TN/NC.
