That's a purdy new shock -
Wife's company is offering a transfer to a position in Danville, KY, 35 miles southwest of Lexington give or take. I wonder if the riding in that area is better then the flat barren roads of the Texas panhandle.

Yep, Funeral Homes and all the related folks seem to be vultures. It's amazing how much those kind of services can cost. I think everyone should have funds set aside and arrangements already made to avoid having to deal with the funeral homes during a stressful situation.

Texas has no inspections on non-commercial trailers.

you must be a truly amazing rider. I can't wait to read more stories about how great you are and how you need no gear.

Also, if you're doing a lot of low speeding riding and slipping the clutch, you should probably get the V-max gears installed in your diff to lower your gear ratio to make low speed maneuvers easier.
-
You're slipping your clutch way too much. It's not the oil. You should really just pick one oil and stick with it though.

On the Quike, I think the R1/R6 caliper conversion all the way around would be an excellent idea. I would also entertain the idea of getting a longer banjo bolt and integrating the front and rear brakes onto the front master cylinder instead of having separate cylinders. Even if you were to lock up 1 tire or both tires in an emergency stop, the Quike's not going to fall over like a regular motorcycle. You'd just have to experiment and see if the factory master would have sufficient volume to operate 3 calipers and if you had enough hand strength in case the resistance went up.

I use a large bench vice to break the beads and a milk crate to hold the wheel up off the ground to mount the new one. The brake disc just fits inside the handles.

You know, If I had finished reading you original post, I might have noticed you have stopped that practice. I apologize for jumping without looking.

Actually RedRider, you're ruining a helmet by pounding the Styrofoam down. The entire point behind the foam is so that it collapses in the event of a crash. If you have to modify the foam in the helmet to fit your noggin, then you're buying the wrong helmet. Also, more expensive helmets are not better at protection than cheaper ones. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/motorcycle_helmet_review/index.html

http://www.justnews.com/news/13594353/detail.html Seems Mr. Donicio Arrindell's Grandmama thinks her grandbaby was murdered. I think someone needs a lesson in raising her children and grandchildren and teach her who the real criminals are.

Would you brace slip-ons?

Are you not using the mounting brackets under the saddlebags and just letting the pipes hang by the head pipes????- 5 replies

Ive got 1 off my 2nd gen. It leaks oil and I found a sweet deal on ebay on an almost new one. It was listed funny and I got it cheap. What's a leaky 2nd gen differential worth nowadays?
