  1. Mine opens to 90 degrees. Just push it over.
  2. "then noticed my battery was having a hard time coming back up to 12 V" That was leading me towards bad battery. He could try to jump it, if it starts, its the battery, if it does the same thing, it's the switch most likely.
  3. Yep, sounds like a bad battery to me.
  4. That'll get em to take air, but it doesn't seat the bead. I had to do that to my Kumho. Im assuming it was stored on it's side. The beads were pushed in. I need to buy a cheap camera to record this kind of stuff.
  5. On the youtube page, it'll have a box Labeled "URL". Copy and paste that and it will automatically embed itself.
  6. Murphy's is some slick stuff. We used it at the truckstop mounting tires.
  7. If Jerry were to pick up a 8" bench vise, we could change tires as well. I could fab up some custom spoons to keep from scratching the wheels.
  8. Too bad Bridgestone can't make a decent motorcycle tire to begin with, let alone tell us that car tires will handle worse then Bridgestones.
  9. I can drag my floorboards, highway pegs, mufflers, and front crash bars with my car tire. I don't know if I need to lean it over any more then that though.
  10. Im in, Think we could throw in a valve adjustment and a set of gauges?
  11. Well, hooking the bike up to the car WILL NOT hurt anything. Both are 12volt systems. I've jumped many bikes from cars with no problems. If the wires started to melt, then there's a wiring problem with the bike. The car did not cause it. Im not familiar enough with the 1st gen models, but don't worry, someone much more in the know will be along to help. It might help if you could post pics of the affected plug.
  12. Was a belt actually broken or did the tire just get out of round? My BFG was bald on 1 side and about 2/32nds of tread left 180 degrees on the other side.
  13. more pics
  14. But if I were to buy one, I would buy one built on a truck chassis with the engine in the front. That way if there's a mechanical problem, you could pull into most truck dealerships and have it worked on. Many places will not touch a motorhome built on an RV chassis because of how different they are from a truck chassis.
  15. I'd say that unless you plan on using it every weekend, you could rent 1 cheaper for the 2-3 times a year that it would be used by most folks.
  16. Here's 2 pics of Jerry's bike being equipped with Ponch's gauge setup which is friggin' SWEET!!!
  17. I blew up a Federal while airing it up. The Kuhmo held 125psi. I'd get a Kuhmo next time.
  18. What the hell? It's been over 2 hours now!! Where's the pics!!!!
  19. There ain't crap in Claude, TX and it's a dry county.
  20. Nope, I have a centerstand.
  21. oil change front and rear brake fluid change check out steering head bearings Wash and Polish Bike (Jerry)
  22. When Caterpillar first came out with the ACERT engine in big trucks, a lot of customers were complaining about oil temps. Lucas had just come out with the synthetic additive. I had a couple customers try it out and said their oil temps dropped 20 degrees. The manager tried the synthetic in his Z71 pickup with umpteen million miles on it and it stopped the lifter chatter that plagued that particular series of engines. I've used Lucas in cars and pickups, but I do not use it in the motorcycle.
  23. Took 125psi to seat the beads. I'll get some pics up soon.
  24. Sorry to hear about that. Glad to see ya up and around again at least. Don't worry, we'll get your bike running.
  25. I may be earlier then I was expected. I may have someone to work for me Saturday. If so, I need to go check on an engine I may be buying for my pickup in the morning before I head to Borger. Y'all will be able to check out my new car tire as well. I pulled the wheel off tonight and will mount up the Kuhmo tomorrow at work.
