Ive ran Chevron Delo 400, Mobil Delvac 1500, and Rotella T. Im running Rotella T right now because I picked up a 5 gallon bucket for free but they were all equally good oils. I would probably run Rotella T because it can be bought damn near anywhere in case you ever had to top off.

Naptha is a generic term used for any petrol distillate. Im sure the tank we have at work labeled "Naptha" is very different from the coleman stuff labeled "naptha". Our naptha is a oil based solvent and is not as flammable as coleman fuel. The naptha at work is also a great gun cleaner. [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naphtha[/ame]

Try that in Texas and there's a better then average chance you'll end up with a little extra ventilation before it's over with. I'm glad you ended up OK, but I'm assuming that no one here as EVER accidentally cut someone off.

I have a Clearview XXL and a yammie shorty. I have less buffeting with the shorty then I do the CV. Also get better gas mileage with the shorty. I sold my Clearview.

What style of helmet are you wearing? Full face, open face, 3/4, 1/2, beanie? I wear an open face helmet. I just recently went from a Clearview XXL to a Yammie shorty. I also put a 5 snap shield on my helmet. No more buffeting from the Clearview and no wind noise through the 5 snap shield.

not motorcycle....suggestions for tire bead seating
flb_78 replied to jlh3rd's topic in Watering Hole
Ive got a cheetah tank at my house if you wanna drive to Amarillo. Another trick is to set the tire on a 5 gallon bucket, that'll seat the bottom bead, then use the ratchet strap to draw the top bead up. -
My OD don't luv me no more?

Sounds like you've got a miss under a load. Check spark plugs, check spark plugs wires for burn spots or rubbing, try to test your coils. -

Damn, I have a complete charging setup for a Roadstar that I'm sure would have worked for parts and pieces.

I had 1 leak down after it was installed and my buddy Bill in DFW actually had one some out of the tire. I plugged the BFG on the RSV and it held AOK for over 10,000 miles with the $5 kit from ChinaMart. I have no problems using a plug, but it's not a proper repair. Im running on a patched front tire right now as well that was given to me by another forum member. I installed a patch/plug from the inside myself. I don't trust others to work on my bike. http://www.tirestrings.com/Patch%20Plug.gif

No argument from me here. A plug/patch is the best solution. http://www.timgilles.com/photogallery/13.60aplugpatchcombo.jpg

The only things that have changed between 99 and 09 are the colors, seats, and 09 comes with a factory CD changer.- 8 replies

pull the screw out and if it leaks, plug the tire. It'd be better if you can get it patched from the inside though. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41xjVQvErTL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
