  1. Id have no problems using a torch on it. I'd just grind the head off, pull the tank off and remove the stud with some vice grips.
  2. http://www.motorcycledaily.com/092909pressrelease7.htm After deciding to part with his brand new VMAX, Jay upped the ante by sending it down to the noted custom-bike designer Jeff Palhegyi. The San Diego-based customizer wasn't fazed by the fact that he only had one week to work his magic. "Jay's only instructions were, 'This bike's going to be bought by an enthusiast, so make sure to keep it rideable.' I know he's into bold, powerful bikes and cars, so I'll be emphasizing those aspects of the VMAX," said Jeff Palhegyi.
  3. Check your oil level.
  4. Here in Amarillo, we have a nice coating of ice other everything. yippie.....
  5. I'll dig a little, but I remember that Goose found shim kit that was at a fantastic price considering what was included. Im assuming the only gaskets that would be needed would the the rocker box gaskets.
  6. I'd rather read 100 posts about being too busy working then 1 post about being laid off.
  7. not mine, but inexpensive enough http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/1405771371.html I'd be interested in swapping, but you don't want my bike. Too old, too many miles.
  8. I set my speedohealer to the odometer. I originally had it set to correct the speedometer, but I didn't like having the odometer off that far. To correct the speedometer, I had it set at -7.5% To correct the odometer, I have it set at -5.2%
  9. How did you determine the key switch isn't bad?
  10. The rear one won't spin very well because of the shaft drive.
  11. Anyone interested in purchasing some Baron's Bagger pipes? Ive got a set I took off. Only asking $150 for em. They need a good polish job and there are some scratches on the bottom from turning.
  12. Can we change the date to Febturday?
  13. It's against the law already to cell phone or text and drive. It's called distracted driving. It's just not enforced.
  14. You probably need to block off the AIS...
  15. It's an 04 so it'll have the universal OBDII connector. Any AutoZone, Oreilly's, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.... can pull the code. Just don't expect the goober behind the counter to know what it means. Get the code number and it's basic description and then check the interwebs to find the most common solution to said problem.
  16. If I didn't want to hear the engine run, I'd drive my car.
  17. I'll swing by after work to eat my JerryBurger ™ !!
  18. IF...big if...you can reach and feel the heater hoses going into the firewall, make sure they are both hot.
  19. I was thinking about vacuum, but usually the temperature control is cable operated and the air directional doors are vacuum operated, but, it is a Dodge so who knows. My budddy's Dakota will blow all the air out of the dash at idle, but when he drives it, it blows out the defroster vents!!
  20. It's circulating the coolant when the engine is revved up and coolant flows through the core. At idle, the coolant doesn't circulate as fast or as much. If the impeller on the pump is getting worn, it could exaggerate the problem. You may also check the coolant control valve and make sure it's opening all the way.
  21. Could be the water pump is not circulating the coolant through the heater core.
  22. Your fuel transfer pump is going out. It seems to be more common the newer machines built after 04.
  23. Damn those look good!!
  24. This is very feasible as well. Im in no hurry. Let me found out on the shipping.
  25. Check on the shipping charges please. Zipcode is 79108
