  1. I don't like owning vehicles that I can't parts for that same day, especially when it's my primary transportation.
  2. Plug and ride for me.
  3. Looks normal to me. In fact, it looks cleaner then mine.
  4. Aye Comrade, soon we will all be driving Government Motors vehicles.
  5. I went with the narrower front tire and it does handle better at parking lot speeds, but at highway speeds, it tended to follow the road grooves a lot more then the std size.
  6. Nice response when asking for opinions and/or advise.
  7. My low fuel light works about 10 miles into the reserve. I agree with draining the fuel into a gas can on "RUN", once it stops, switch it to "RES" and see if more flows out, Also, just asking, are you sure you turned it the full 180 degress"RES" and not 90 degrees to "OFF"?
  8. I knocked mine off when I decided to hop at ditch at 60mph. I ordered 1 from the dealer. I used a bungee cord to hold it up while I waited and waited and waited and waited for the dealer to get the part. I then used a pair of vise grips and just stretched the spring to install it.
  9. It's being plastered on a lot of forums.

  12. Nope, no tire that small in a 16", otherwise some 1st genners would be running 1.
  13. Im beginning to wonder if Im firing on all cylinders. That could explain my gas mileage.
  14. now get ya a Solar Charger and you'll never have to worry about dead batteries. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10339301 http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/77/55/40/72/0077554072001_215X215.jpg
  15. It doesn't matter. Cars and bikes are both 12volt systems. Some will say the amperage of the car battery will hurt the bike, but that's not true. The bike will only draw as much amperage as it needs to start.
  16. yep, I was going to mention plugged jets. With the choke pulled out, it'll run on the "fuel enrichment circuit". The choke on most motorcycles is not an actual choke.
  17. I understand, you don't wanna take a 1st gen too far away from parts and civilization.

    Federal tire

Also, are you using straight dishsoap or a mixture of soap and water? I use a mix of soap and water, heavy on the soap. The soap can dry up pretty quick and actually become stickier.

    Federal tire

Did you clean the bead of the wheel off with a wire brush to get all the old goop off of it? I mounted my BFG with 40psi.

    Federal tire

Set it outside in the sun and let it heat up. I do that with all tires I mount. How is the bead not setting up? Is it not taking air or is it not beading up straight on the rim?
  22. You left good meat laying on the side of the road?? Blasphemy!!!
  23. Looks normal to me. Mine does the same thing. Engines are going to blow some oil out. That tube is supposed to stop the worst of it, but oil still blows out a little. Just wash it off.
  24. Do you know if you have the factory grips or aftermarket? When I bought my used Venture, the previous owner had removed the factory grips and weights and put some cheap chrome ones on. My hands would go numb very quickly. I picked up a set of used grips and bar weights off ebay and it's much better now.

    RSV Waranty

I don't see how rust could be covered under warranty but it never hurts to ask.
