  1. I'd have to say you're going to have to eat that tire and buy a new one since you're not the original purchaser of those tires. I just wonder how that front tire was sitting in the warehouse before it was sold.
  2. Whoops, yeah, that was the aerosol. Those are the propellants in the can, but they'll evaporate and it'll be a dry film of moly. Here it is in a paste. http://www.drillspot.com/products/283164/Loctite_51048_Moly_Anti_Seize_Paste
  3. I still have the skinny Avon on the front of my bike so I can't help ya there yet, but Im sure that any tire would be acceptable. I plan on going double dangerous on my next set. I'll be running a Federal car tire on the rear and a Metzler rear tire on the front. I had no problems out of the 16" Metzlers I ran on my Roadstar and I liked the way my Roadstar handled with Metzlers on it.
  4. Im in most likely. I can mount up my spare wheel and tire. Can I do a burnout in the street to finish off my old tire? We can video it and post it online.
  5. You could just use 100% moly instead. http://www.drillspot.com/products/279987/Loctite_39895_Moly_Dry_Film_Lubricant
  6. Looking good. Enjoy the ride and watch the rear brake now. It'll actually stop the bike now instead of sliding.
  7. Probably because the bike's been down and has a Salvage title. Some states will not allow a salvage titled vehicle to be put back onto the road, even after it's been repaired. Plus parting out a wrecked bike will bring more money then selling a complete wrecked bike. It doesn't take much to financially total out a full dressed bike if all the plastic has been damaged.
  8. http://spi0n.fr/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/t-rex-577-shot-rifle.jpg The .577 T-Rex develops 10,180lbs of force at the muzzle. ** Edit ** Upon further review, the pictured cartridge may be a 600 nitro express. The 577 T-Rex appears to be a necked cartridge. http://www.ammo-one.com/577Tyrannosaur.jpg
  9. I think all trailers have a 45mph posted speed limit. I know that all U-Haul trailers have that on the left fender written backwards so you can read it in the mirror. It's just a cover your butt thing. Looks a lot like a piggy backer. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/photos/66700-66799/66771.gif
  10. I weigh around 400lbs, usually have 50lbs of crap in the bike and usually get 6-8000 miles on a rear motorcycle tire. My throttle is an off/on switch.
  11. I've been running the dino white bottle Rotella T. No 15W40 oil has energy conserving properties in it that I have ever seen and I've seen quite a bit of it. Most energy conserving oil is 10W30 or lower.
  12. Arrow Trucking used Royal Purple synthetic oil in their trucks for about a year. After they started losing engines, they switched to Chevron Delo 400 conventional oil. I wouldn't put Royal Purple on a bicycle chain personally.
  13. I've been getting around 27mpg this year out of my Venture. Most of my 17 mile commute to work is open highway where I run 80mph, and this is a speedohealed true 80mph. I don't know how folks are claiming 40mpg on these big bikes unless they never get the machine into the power band and never go over 60mph and haven't speedohealed it. Best I ever had was 37mpg and that was running 65mph with a 40mph tailwind. My buddy on his BMW was getting over 60mpg on that leg of the trip.
  14. Sure. I hate dismounting tires though. It helps to have a bench mounted vice, but a C-clamp will do it as well. Kritter over on TWT changes tires but he's in Panhandle.
  15. Once a tire gets thin, it will wear faster. Im one of the ones who wears it until there is cord showing.
  16. I'll take your tire if you don't want it.
  17. I overheats the exhaust and puts 20 lbs of extra weight on the bike.
  18. I run Rotella T 15W40 and I use a Purolater Pure One PL14612 automotive filter. I use Rotella because it can be found anywhere. You'll need to run a 10W40 automotive oil to keep away from the frictions modifiers which could damage your clutch. You'll still want to check the "Starburst" on the back for the "energy conserving" label. http://www.dansmc.com/starburst2.jpg http://www.dansmc.com/oilright.jpg

  20. What code did you use? the current one is 1231VENRID. They have some hella good prices on tires. I've never checked em out before today. I'll be buying 1 soon for the front through them.
  21. I can't believe my searching skills have failed me. Im trying to find the specs on the RoadKing brackets so I can make my own at work.
  22. This is a good reason to not use credit cards. all I have is 1 debit card and it can be shut down with just a phone call to the bank, 24hrs a day. You also need a PIN number to access the debit card. Also, never carry your Social Security card with you. Put it in a safe place.
  23. http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=407945 $149.95 with free shipping MV85HB15 is the same as 150/80HB15. For some reason Dunlop won't move up with the rest of the world in their tire sizing.
  24. Actually, it was 8.6 million, and he drunk when he wrecked. http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/270060 But back on topic.... The rancher that owns that cow is liable for the damages to your bike.
  25. That things HUGE!! I made mine up out of some scrap 3/4 square stock and expanded metal.
