  1. I think a shock off a 650 would be a closer fit as it has eyelets on both ends instead of a clevis. http://i10.ebayimg.com/03/i/001/39/d3/6b7d_1.JPG
  2. If you can take the rear wheel off, then you can do the rest of it. It's rather easy. Also, on the tire, have your shop remove the tire for you. That's the hard part. Mounting it is easy with a pair of tire spoons found at most motorcycle shops and some tire lube found at most auto parts stores.
  3. I just put em in dry. Never had brakes make noise on a motorcycle before.
  4. Worry no more... http://www.alt-gifts.com/presents/Executive-ball-scratcher
  5. Did you pull them off the roadway or call the police to let them know so they could clear it off? Im surprised that some farmer didn't stop to pick em up. Most likely, it was an 18 wheeler that had a strap come loose. I don't know how they keep that stuff on there. When they'd come in the shop with hay bales on, I'd just look at it and try to figure out how it didn't come off. I also wanted to throw and cig butt on one just to see how fast it would go up!!!!
  6. It's dangerous to ride a motorcycle. It's dangerous to pull a trailer. It's dangerous to get out of bed. You pull a trailer, you take the responsibility to secure that trailer to your vehicle so it doesn't harm anyone else.
  7. Sounds like the terminals may be goofed up on the starter relay under the sidecover.
  8. No, it's just very thick and tacky. Almost like the old Indian Head Gasket sealer. http://www.patchrubber.com/tire_repair/16118.html Forms an airtight seal between the tire and rim, reducing bead leaks. Bead Sealer is a thick, high-solid content, black sealant. Brush on the beads of tubeless tires during mounting. Quick, economical and profitable way to end comebacks from bead leaks. Flammable. Flash point 14° F. Shelf life 1 year.
  9. Ebay item #280321246569 2006 Honda Royal Syar Venture XVZ1300 MI Rebuilt Salvage Title.
  10. That'll be 1 sweet mod with the trike kit, but where are you going to mount the centerstand?
  11. The problem is most likely that the bike hasn't been ridden enough and there is corrosion forming between the bead and wheel. With your surgeries and what not, the bike probably just needs to be ridden. I've seen car tires that would lose air after sitting for a few months, pump it back up and start driving the car and it seals back up just dandy.
  12. The video was posted to show the sound that he wanted. The pipes that were bought are not Vance and Hines.
  13. I have the Avon 130 and tire is still hard. I check tire pressure about once a year whether it needs it or not. Also, I will not be going back with the 130 tire. It wanders too much for my liking in the wind and grabs the grooves in the road too much.
  14. Factory clutch bolts are junk. Pull em out, throw em away. Go pick up a set of stainless bolts. Never reuse the factory clutch bolts. They're very brittle. If you must use factory bolts, buy new ones.
  15. What's involved in a 16,000 mile service? Is there anything done that just HAS to be done?
  16. Yes, they must be able to fill out an application and breathe
  17. On my ole XJ1100, I ran the Fram CH6002. Bought it at AutoZone for around $5.
  18. It got cold here in a hurry. High tomorrow is supposed to be around 47 in the Amarillo area.
  19. I switched the 5 amp fuse for a 10 amp.
  20. I carry the string "cat-turd" style plugs and a small air compressor marketed by slime. It also has a LED light in it. I don't believe the CO2 cartridges would have enough air in them to inflate a full sized tire unless you carried half a dozen or more. Plus, if the leak didn't seal, you'd still be sitting with a flat tire and half a dozen empty CO2 cartridges. http://www.acknowledge.com/tractor/L2500DT/photos/TirePlugKit.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412RV13odQL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
  21. I think the bulbs are a bit overkill. Im sure if you stop in front of an officer at night, he'll want to discuss your lights.
  22. That looks like a wreck waiting to happen. The lean angle of the machine has just been cut down severely.
  23. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21110 I picked up a machine screw just 10 days after mounting mine. I plugged it. Tire is almost completely bald now and still holding air just fine. I've also plugged motorcycle tires and ridden them till the cords were showing.
  24. I checked the date as soon as I opened the box and saw the tire. It's 2605. Tire's only 3 years old. It'll be fine. Tread is as deep in the center as it is on the edge. I have a Federal Tire on order. I'll mount this wheel with the Dunlop on it and mount the Federal on the other wheel. When the Dunlop is worn, I'll put the Federal on.
