  1. I can't think of anything that'll work on a motorcycle except some sort of forced air induction over the engine itself. I was thinking that an electric dipstick could work through the oil fill port, but it looks like there's only 1 out there and it's 20 inches long. http://www.google.com/products?q=oil+heater+dipstick&btnG=Search+Products&hl=en&show=dd
  2. That's a good price for the package, but it's a bit rich for my blood. Im only needing a wheel and rotor.
  3. How much do you want to sell it for Gunny?
  4. I run regular Rotella T 15w40 year round.
  5. Nah, I just saw his thread and wondered why I never thought of asking here for another wheel. Seems like the simplest thing know that I think about it.
  6. It looks like he had a 3/4" section cut out, rewelded it and had it polished.
  7. I figgered I'd toss this out there. Does anyone have a rear wheel off a 2nd gen they're wanting to get rid of? I'm not worried about the paint or what color it is. I'd just like to have a spare rear wheel and brake rotor to have an extra tire mounted up.
  8. I wouldn't just bore out the cylinders and pop in some new pistons without knowing what happened. If they can't find the problem then you'll be having the same troubles again.
  9. I know on the I-40 through Oklahoma, I have been charged only 1 rate whether I was pulling a trailer or not.
  10. I've pretty much convinced myself that when I finally buy or build a house, it will have a either a natural gas fired generator or propane fired generator, depending on where it is.
  11. That's the problem with modifying a motorcycle. It's the same as buying a pickup, putting a 12 inch lift on it, 40" tires and then the engine or transmission going out. The dealer is not going to cover it. Dealers do not make money on warranties. Once you bolt a sidecar on or trike out a bike or any other major modifications, the warranty is pretty much out the window.
  12. That's not a head gasket, that's a valve cover gasket. I'd just buy a new one and replace it.
  13. It looks like the 165/80R15 is the preferred size. I have a 155/80R15. It's smaller then the factory.
  14. Yeah, Im rough on rear tires. Maybe not so much burnouts, but pulling the front wheel off the ground and hard rear braking. It'll be either the Federal or the Kuhmo next time around. I haven't decided yet.
  15. Yeah, it's getting pretty thin. I have about 12000 on it. My last M/C tire lasted 8000. I didn't get to ride much last summer. The roads around here now are all chip sealed and it's taking a toll on our tires. Plus I ride like an idiot.
  16. sweet, Federal SS657 for $50.07 Kuhmo for $53.07 Great prices, thank you. Any better out there?
  17. Where's the best price for a Darkside tire in 165/80R15 shipped to 79108? Federal SS657 for $75.36 shipped Kuhmo 758 for $69.32 shipped Nexen SB802 for $65.43 shipped Can anyone find a better price?
  18. yeah, let's stick to non-confrontational topics such as synthetic oil and car tires on bikes!!!
  19. +1
  20. A break in the circuit is a break in the circuit on either side. The only advantage of putting it on the negative side is that IF a wire were to come off and lay against the frame, it would not be a "hot" wire and short out the battery. That's also why one should always disconnect the battery on the ground side first. If the wrench contacts the negative terminal and the frame and the same time, there's no amperage dump across the wrench. It's just a secondary ground.
  21. I too wish to be friends with the armadillo.

  23. I think the loss of power would be counter productive to everything I stand for.
