I know Illinois has the "hit worker, go to jail" signs and the increased fine in work zones, when workers are present. I don't know if the Okiehoma ones have that last part or not. "when workers are present".

You need to pick up a 15 inch V-max wheel and mount up a car tire. You'll get 15-20,000 easy with the hack on the tire.

Tech. question 2nd Generation

I concur with the above statement. Sounds like the bearings are a bit loose. -
I blame the Unions and Management. It wasn't too long ago Ford hired and fired a president within 6 months and he walked away with over 35 million. The union boys are averaging 77-78 an hour INCLUDING benefits such as health insurance and retirement pension. The unions also saw to it that even when members are layed off, the members still receive pay and benefits. I heard on the radio that the average pay for a non-union Toyota worker was around 48/hour including benefits and that the average wage across the nation for manual labor was around 28/hour with benefits. The Unions and the (mis)Management combined have caused these great companies to fall. Same with the banks and AIG and the other numerous factions that are falling and everyone walks away with pockets full of cash except for the consumers.

Passing in the same lane is illegal and discourteous. I've done it, but only with someone I've ridden with before. You're lucky that you saw them in the rear view and were able to prepare yourself, otherwise it's quite a jolt when it happens.

Pure-One PL14612 vs PL14610 & fit?
flb_78 replied to frogmaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
the ML series of filters is only marketed by Purolator, they do not actually produce this filter, they just stick their label on it. The ML series is not the same as the PL series and is in fact or no better quality then the OEM filter. -
Pure-One PL14612 vs PL14610 & fit?
flb_78 replied to frogmaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
But part of the Magnuson-Moss act puts the responsibility on the consumer by requiring them to use a part that is manufactured to replace an OEM part. The Purolator filter is NOT manufactured to replace the Yammie OEM filter. It's designed to replace many filters for automotive manufacturers, but not the Yammie filter. I use the Purolator filter because I believe it's a superior filter, but my bike is also far out of warranty. -
Pure-One PL14612 vs PL14610 & fit?

Yeah, that'd be great IF purolator claimed their filter was equal to or superior to the Yammie OEM one such as EMGO, Hi-flo, and Fram claim. -
if you had to evasively move, then you were following too close as well. At night, you should be back at least 3-4 seconds, if not more. you never know when a car is going to straddle a piece of debris in the road that you will hit and never see.

I've bought a couple of his books but I've never taken any of his classes. The classes really aren't needed unless one needs the spiritual or group support. Ive been debt free now a little while, but not near long enough. You'll find it's much harder to spend money once you can actually look at it and hold it. It's easy to sign paper for ONLY 200 a month, but it's incredibly hard to write a check for 10,000 dollars.

I think so. I can turn it up louder with less distortion. These speakers would probably greatly benefit from some kind of enclosure or some padding around the backside.

27mm or 1 1/16. Either will work. There's only .0004 of an inch difference between the 2.

my bike wobbled at over 100mph with stock size Michelin commanders and with a BFG rea, Avon 130 front. The 130 Avon actually made the wobble worse. Ive since installed a Works Shock and the wobble is mostly gone at 100mph. I'll probably go back to the 150 front when this one wears out.

Take a picture of the part and post it so we can see it.

I had a Roadstar that used that size rear tire. Me thinks that you'll be hard pressed to find a tire that will work. Most 16" tires are wide.

there's some used ones on ebay. here's one the ends in 22 hrs. no bids on it, starts at 9.99 with 10.00 shipping. ebay item number - 180299047406 I'd probably just get a used one from a salvage yard if the price is comparable.

I would assume that he had the covers off when it was started. Doesn't matter though, it's leaking coolant, bike is less then 5 years old, it's a dealer problem.

Pure-One PL14612 vs PL14610 & fit?
flb_78 replied to frogmaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
There are 2 levels of Purolator filters. The white ones are the discount filters. The Gold ones are the "Pure One" filters. They used to be blue, but now they put a "gripper" coating on them that is yeller. -
Decided not to buy 2007 venture
flb_78 replied to Bobcatpat's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Oh yeah, Im rich....pffft. whatever. I bought my 99 for 6500. I let someone else take a hit of the resale. My 89 van cost me 2600. I rent right now because I don't have the cash to make a decent down payment on land and a house. It's amazing that the only things financed were land and houses up until 60 years ago. Now anyone with a signature can get a credit card and "finance" a pack of gum. Today's entitlement mentality is the problem now a days. Everyone thinks they deserve a brand new bike, brand new 50,000 truck/SUV, quarter million dollar house. I buy used and save a boatload of money. That's not dumb. It's stupid to put yourself under someone's boot to get a shiny new bike or shiny new car when there are plenty of good used ones that can be had for much less. Y'all keep financing those new bikes and selling em after 3 years. That way there'll be plenty of good used bikes for me to buy. -
