Im wearing my BFG out pretty fast, but it's still lasting longer then a MT ever has for me. I'll be lucky to get 15,000 out of it, but it's twice what I usually get. I want to try the 165 when the BFG is worn out.

Thank your wonderful legislators for that. http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/wayoflife/09/22/atlanta.gas.crunch/index.html?imw=Y&iref=mpstoryemail There's plenty of gas, but it's just not good enough for Atlanta.

The SJ and the CF have nothing to do with why you can or cannot run the oil. Look on the back and check the "starburst" to see if it says energy conserving. If it doesn't say "energy conserving" then you'll be fine using it in a wet clutch system. For the record, most 10w30 and lower oils will be energy conserving. I personally use either Chevron Delo 400 15w40 or Shell Rotella T 15w40. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff132/dddouble/Misc/API_donut.gif

Pic of shield compared to a Tulsa Enterprises shield

The only manufacturer that I know of is Works Performance and it's going to run you over 600 dollars. The shock is rebuildable though and will be built to your specifications. Each one is built to custom specs.

I like it. I have to agree with the previous post of, 'find one in salvage yard to fab up a bracket.'

woohoo, shield showed up today. I'll stick it on tomorrow and try it out!!

I have the Polk 401's as well. I can turn them up louder, but they will still distort.

edit, It does not work on the home page for me, it only works in the forum itself. I rarely go into the forum and mostly just watch the homepage so I never used that feature.

I've never had that option. I didn't know it was available for this site. I'm sure it's somewhere in your user settings.

Limit on Trunk Rack
flb_78 replied to Storminyte's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I once carried a bag that weighed in around 80lbs on the rack from Texas to Illinois. No problems. -
I like my vent and the ability to aim the airflow as I ride. I don't wash my bike very ofter so I'm not too worried about bug guts in the vent.

It's about time for another picture of that tire.

sounds like you may have lost ground on the light itself, either that, or the switch may be corroded up.

There were guys on the Warrior forum that were actually burning the Iridium plugs up even though the bikes were dyno-tuned. If we could get Platinums, then ya, I'd be on that like banks on tax supported welfare.

I can't say the CT caused any decrease in fuel mileage. I normally get about 28mpg. I've been easy on the throttle though for the last couple of weeks and have been averaging around 32.

I had an 03 Silverado. I broke 2 belts. I don't like em. They're noisy, pick up debris, Tire changes are a pain in the butt to get the alignment just right again. The adjustment changes when you add a passenger or heavy cargo. I'll stick with shaft drive. A lot less maintenance.

Baron's and a whole lot of popping on decel
flb_78 replied to george_park's topic in General Tech Talk
Yep, those are the carb boot caps. -
I believe the owner's manual calls for an 8000 miles interval. I think it's a bit excessive myself. Also, stick with the standard NGK's. The Iridiums are a waste of money.

Front turn signal bar mounts
flb_78 replied to flb_78's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Did a little researching and found that there is a "flasher dampner" between the bar and the signal. It's #23 in this here picture. Anyone got a pair of these laying around somewhere? http://webservices.motorsportdealers.com/parts/partImages/YAM/2/02/0040/0048.Gif
