I hope you have good luck with the Royal Purple. When I was working in the truck shop, Arrow Trucking decided to switch from Chevron Delo 400 to Royal Purple. We had to start stocking it to keep their business. After 6 months and several catastrophic engine failures, they decided to switch back to Chevron Delo. We ended up dumping 2 barrels of it down the drain after a year because we couldn't sell it to anyone.

With your bike being new and still under warranty, I would use motorcycle oil and a Yamaha filter. In my 99, I run 15W40 Rotella T diesel oil and a Purolater PureOne PL14610 automotive filter. My bike is far outside of warranty as well.

"jet heater" Kerosene vs. Diesel, any fuel chemists?

When I worked at the truck stop, we burned highway diesel in our salamander heaters (jet-type). It burned fine. -
http://wonkette.com/405196/roland-burris-has-already-constructed-his-terrifying-death-chamber It's refreshing to see a Chicago politician who thinks about nothing but serving the People of Illinois and not his own interests.

I think this just shows the absurdity of any bailout program. Who decides which industries are important and which ones can fail?

Slower then what? The speed of light? If any other factory bike can out run it in the 1/8 mile, it's because the V-max couldn't get traction.

Bitter smokers who cling to their cigarettes and guns.
-
Damn evil cigarettes that just jump into someone's mouth and forces em to smoke.... And I don't even smoke cigarettes. I prefer my smoke with real tobacco, hand rolled by some hispanic fella in some country that I don't care about.

I pulled a dune buggy built on a truck frame across the yard once. I pulled home a bench seat for my old Buick on my trailer.

AH, burnout till the tire comes apart...ok... Usually, that's done when the tire is almost shot anyways and they're about to mount a new one. It's just for shiggles.

My BFG is getting thin, I'll most likely be going with the Federal next time around. The BFG seems skinny.

Unless you plan on living in it, RV's are a great way to waste money. with that said.... If I were to buy one, I would buy one built on a Freightliner chassis with the engine in the front. These are easier and cheaper to work on. If you're on a cross country trip and something breaks, you just call the nearest Freightliner or T/A for warranty. Obviously this is only on the chassis and driveline, not the living area stuff. I've seen too many RV's raked over the coals because the RV is too specialized for "normal" over the road repairs.

Ive ridden on plugged tires and have had no problems. I've even ran a plugged Metzler before and the tire wore fine for me. I have seen plugs leak on other machines though. Everyone has to assess their own risk. I put my last tire on and 100 miles later had a machine screw in it. I stuck a plug in it and 13,000 miles later, it's still not leaking.
