  1. How does everyone feel about having nitrogen put into tires. I have it in my truck tires and they don't seem to loose pressure with temp change. Now only check them when I have my oil changed. Now more local dealers and Quick oil change places are starting to cary nitrogen. One local Custom Cycle shop here also will put nitrogen in MC tires!!! Any feedback or thought on this.
  2. Has anyone ever put Nitrogen in their shocks? Front or rear once you find the ideal pressure for the way you ride. Would it be feasible to do that or not? I see and read about people installing it in their tires and just wondered if in the shocks would even make it worth while? I found where "I" like the shocks at and found that I need to keep checking them for pressure. My thought was with the nitrogen I may not need to check but once a year? (Can you say , LAZY)?
  3. For the first time I saw a sign at a gas station saying Nitrogen enriched gas. Has anyone tried it yet and what did you think of it. tew47
  4. I have nitrogen in all of my vehicle tires and like how long it lasts. Has anyone ever put it in their scoot tires? Curious as to whether or not to expect the same results.
  5. Just had the new tire put on this evening to replace the crappy Bridgestones after 5300 miles. What a difference. The bike feels 200 lbs lighter. I had the shop fill the tires with nitrogen. Don't know if it was worth the 10 bucks or not. Time will tell. DT
  6. I now have Ride on Tire sealant in my Tires with air.My Question is what will happen if I take out the valve and replace the air with nitrogen ? Anything ? Will the sealant leak and make a mess ? Has anyone done this ? Thanks in advance. Bucky Thompson
  7. Has or is anyone using nitrogen in their bike tires. I've used it in my truck tires on my silverado and it's great and wanted to know about using nitrogen in my avon venoms. Bob http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/5/5_2_110.gif http://www.smileycentral.com/sig.jsp?pc=ZSzeb112&pp=ZNxmk393BBUS
  8. They say you cant fight City hall! The industry is moving toward Nitorgen filling of tires and Im gonna buy the machine for my Tire business. Even though for normal use I do think its kind of excessive there are a few benefits we can use here. Funny thing is a while ago I was against it but recently with new data Ive been kind of swayed in some cases. Nitrogen filling of tires will help us in one case. It expands and contracts far less than regular air so you tires will stay a more constant pressure on your bike. We know handling will vary by pressure this can help keep it more consistant. Nitrogen will also (If properly installed) contain less water then regular pump air so it will help reduce the corrosion of wheels on the inside. Also since its a larger molecule and also an inert gas your tires in most cases will hold their inflation better. Im not saying that you will not lose any air and you should still check it regularly but all these things can help us. If you get a leak or need to ad air on the road you can just mix it. Just when you get a chance purge the air and refill. To do a passenger tire right now the cost is in the area of $10 a tire Ill keep all you posted on how this goes.
  9. Anyone have any experiance with this?
