  1. Ok...I'm a mess...but isnt that chrome piece plastic?
  2. Sad to hear of the bad news but it terrific that he is going to be alright!
  3. Cant tell you where to get it in Ontario. It goes in the gas tank. You can either follow the directions or do like most of us and put half a can in a full tank every now and then. It helps clear up an glazing in the carbs and cleans crud. It can be used in the crank case just prior to changing your oil to help remove some sludge but dont drive around with it in the oil for any length of time. This can screw up something! It wont screw up anything in the gas tank but if you put some in the bike may blow some bluish smoke...thats the seafoam burning off.
  4. I emailed yammi canada and this is what they sent back. Because of the differances in the bikes......like what......that is why they wont honor the warranty. But if you break down it will be warrantied proper....that is if its a canadian bike owned by a canadian breaking down in the USA or visa versa. Now tell that to Dan when he had a problem in Colorado and had to buy his own parts and pay to get it put on at the yammy dealer there. He's from Chicago. That was one lousy dealer. We couldnt get a tire for Marilyns vstar from them either and when we did they couldnt be bothered to change it.....Squid organized a deal through the Kawi dealer.....go figure huh. Some yammi dealers just suck plain and simple.
  5. Try this link. http://www.coffeericeandbeans.com/print/Wolf.html Or google circle tours. Also bring some warm clothes as the breeze off the lake can get chilly. It is beautiful riding with some amazing scenary.
  6. I just put a used corbin on and have about 300 miles under my butt with it. I really like it so far but that doesnt say how it will do in an iron butt. It is a hard seat. Our kitchen chairs are wood and I find those the most comfortable to sit on over the padded ones. I have no tail bone problem with the corbin and I did with the stock seat....even the overstuffed one. Opinions are like belly buttons...everyone has one, so take mine as you should. I was very worried about getting the corbin and finding it too hard to work with after spending a ton of money. I found mine here and paid a very fair price (it came with the back rest). If its a dud then I should be able to get my cash back by reselling it. So far it isnt going anywhere!
  7. Welcome....I envy your trip to another country. This must be some adventure for you! There are so many good people here and you will be busy trying to remember them all when you meet them! Enjoy your trip.....its funny someone from so far can make Don's maitainance day and I cant!
  8. Another question would be to the tech working the bikes.....what do they know about the RSV......it may surprise you that many know nothing about them at all!
  9. Nope, never used that model but its a Coleman and they are usually a good product. That one looks pretty cool.
  10. Great news...all the best...I have heard that many that have had this surgery feel like brand new after the healing is done!

    Yahoo!

It has been warmer finally here too. But windy.....wow. Working weekends sucks but now I'm free for a little bit and getting some wind to the knees this week as well. Thanks for the pics!
  12. For our cat...its a rabbit thats taken a liking to our back yard...or the birds at the feeder we put just outside the window to make him crazy!
  13. Wait for the help to arrive. Or at least some hints at what to do. Rocket may know something about em.
  14. Thats sure some pretty ditch there! Alot nicer than when we saw it.....dang it, it snowed on us the day we went on a side trip from Vegas. Nice pics and thanks for sharing!
  15. Hmmmmm....cheesecake by Lonna.....mmmmm. Any chance of delivery? Thought not...oh well....maybe later this summer!
  16. Another thought....I am not sure which tire BigBob had on when he crashed last fall. I think it was the federal. He developed a high speed wobble and didnt recover from it. Flex of the sidewall and a trailer combined didnt go to helping him recover I think. Now has a new vstar and his knees are back in the breeze..but I dont think he will go to the dark side again.
  17. The length of the tow bar should be twice that of the width of the axles. That seems to be the rule someone made up long ago. As mentioned you dont want negative tongue weight as the trailer will go beserk and sway all over. As for the cooler...I run mine empty mostly so there really is no great weight to it. But I have also put a thing of ice and a few waters in it. I've also stuffed a sleeping bag in it when I ran out of room in the cargo part. I have the xl piggybacker. Nice enough rig for the price and the folks that deal in them are top notch. Found on ebay or just type in piggybacker and it will show up.
  18. Well, I know for sure he was in Winnipeg this week-end. We drove out to see him and pick up my new corbin seat he brought over for me. He left it at Tom and Terry's (tomphil). I did talk to him over the phone as he was unable to meet us. Russell is ok. The rest of the story is up to him to mention sorry.
  19. If it stays at the bottom of the red then that would be pretty normal for stop and go riding with the 1st gens. Mine did that and I dont believe I've seen one that hasnt crept up to that line. If it crosses then there is a problem. As mentioned, the fan should be coming on at those times. Flushing the rad etc is all good maitanance but even after all that mine still went to the bottom of the red when not moving.
  20. Wayne Are you aware that the xm radio should have a output level that can be raised? You will find it somewhere in the menu of the radio. It truly increases the volume that you hear. I had the same problem until I found out about the output and now have no problems. Sorry I couldnt begin to tell you where to look in the menu....but if you still have the booklet for it that may help.
  21. Not so much of a computer monitored system for the trailer wiring as much as an isolater that contains relays. The power to the lights can then be activated with the relays and no load on the bikes wiring. The lights are powered from the battery. Also most trailers are the flat 4 prong...our bikes have a 5 wire system and the isolater converts that to the 4 wire for the trailer. Modulite sells this and some have made their own using relays. Check in the trailer talk and search wiring...there is a ton of info there. And now I stand back and wait for someone with a better explanation to fix any errors I may have made! Oh, and the only reference you will find on towing in the bike manual is that is not recommended.
  22. Wow! Thank you Lord for the best news of a bad situation.
  23. Well its a good thing she is better. those charlie horse type bruises are nasty. I have to ask cause apparently I missed something.....what happened?
  24. Sad about the bike...but sure glad you are gonna be ok. Buy a bike now....it wont change much in 2010 the way Yammi does things!
  25. Congrats Reiny///they are a nice bike.
