That where they go....right in the area of the little bags in front of your knees. I has a set on my old venture....actually pretty sturdy area...but probably wouldnt survive a drop. They work great bythe way.- 3 replies

I am bringing a 130 Avon tire to give away. It came with the bike and I dont think I will use it. It was on the bike long enough to determine that the previous owner didnt like it and he went back to stock size.

sarges46 replied to BJB's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Dont forget the one under the seat.....maybe try that first as its the easiest to get to. I should have mentioned the wires that silver mentioned....wee bit tired and not thinking straight. -

You could be having controller problems, it is covered under warranty, good thing cause they are expensive! And they do go out every now and then. -
Isnt there one in the classified for a reasonable price?

An accident that really hits close to home.

Thats a terrible thing. I worry about it as well with our kids...but....they love the bike and its a great bonding time sharing experience. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend. -
We wont be there, but thats awful good of you Bill. The jury is out on whether I need your product yet....mostly solo riding.....

Thanks for that link Russ. I have been wondering if the product "sham wow" would be a good thing to have. It sure sounds like the same stuff. And we dont have to buy it on TV anymore. Anybody use that?

Cause our bikes have a 5 wire system for the tail lights etc we must add on a convertor of some sort to move the wiring to the 4 wire system that most small trailers have. The isolater part makes the power supplied to the trailer lights run off the battery and not the bikes wiring....it (isolater/modulater) is basically a bunch of relays that trip when the brakes are applied or signals lights activated. Now I must stand back and wait to be corrected...cause the good Lord knows I have been wrong before! And Goose just explained it much better than I could have! Thanks Goose!

Yeppers! Gotta love em. I gave Marilyn a ball glove...kids a fancy schmancy t-shirt and a ornament for her curio cabinet. Course the mandatory flowers as well. She was quit happy with the unusual gift from me but happy about it too as we play ball and last years hers went missing in action from one of the games.
-
Well most of us have a isolator/converter that changes the harness from a 5 wire (bike) to a 4 wire (most trailers). So, as mentioned the stealer did you wrong..hope he charge you much for that wasted effort.

Thats a shame Kenny. Glad you guys werent hurt worse.

Well I just ordered two sets of each from Rick. I lost both seat ones on the midnight...they are somewhere sitting between the jugs unless they fell out of there sometime last year! The saddle bag ones....just because I think its a cool idea.

Just a little gallon container on the cooler rack of the camper trailer when on long trips.

Perfect....now lets see justice in action. Dont need no fork where he may end up....they like those guys raw.

Perfect and thanks for correcting me. I knew it was one way or the other but now that I think of it it makes more sense for the dot to be on the light side doesnt it! Good thing I always prefix things I say with "I think" -

The ones I've bought have a red dot on them....I think thats the heaviest part of the tire. You may find completely opposite the valve. -
still looking for parts...

Bob...we are so thrilled for you! I can understand the weak knees and cold feet..I get them every spring when first starting out. It would be worse after the type of incident you had. How does the bike fit you? A big fella like you would be like a bear on a scooter! Anyway, we cant wait to see you again with your new toy. Congrats my friend.

Who lives near or in Clinton NC? My niece has just accepted a exchange job as a teacher there. She leaves for Raleigh beginning of August for orientation and then off to Clinton mid-month. She is 26 and a high school math and science teacher. Got all the brains....must have passed over me when they were handed out! She is very excited and so are we. We might even get to see her on our travels this in August.
