  1. Wait....what did I volunteer for again? Was I drinking at the time!
  2. Well right now I am in Janesville Wisconsin on my way home. Gary (grandpa gal) I am coming to your place Monday to drop off our camper.
  3. you know we will be there. I am going to be there the Thursday. hopefully I can lend a hand and pre cook a couple things for Friday supper.
  4. Technically I have a job! But seriously I haven't really worked in about 40 years! Not counting the odd army unit trying to blow me up or the odd riot here and there it's been a pretty good go!
  5. Yes we are. Trip has been off and back on a couple of times but now is a go. Going to be leaving the camper in Edmonton though due to fuel concerns. Come back picking it up and then heading into the Yukon and Alaska. Many fast miles to make. We'll see how far north and west we get. Yellowknife for sure.
  6. I was around but not at Vogel. It took us several years before we finally made it there. Member 100 before the crash so I have been around a bit. Not making this years International. Marilyn and I are riding to Yellowknife NWT to westward to the Yukon and touching into Alaska.
  7. You do have some kind of luck dont ya Dan. Good thing it mess that purty face...lol. Take care and heal..oh what am I saying you don't listen anyway! Get better.
  8. Well I guess we shouldn't have taken you to McDonald's for that burger eh! All that salt and other healthy ingredients probably didn't help any. We are thrilled you are home and sort of ok.
  9. I haven't been very active this winter. Another shock. Our thoughts are with his family. RIP Ed
  10. What a terrible thing! Our thoughts are with your family. It's just not right.
  11. Darn that sucks! Our thoughts go out to Mike and the rest of his family.
  12. Marilyn has a cousin getting married in Yellowknife this summer. Is it feasible on the bikes?
  13. Hmmm I can't recall any bad mouthing of our bikes. Maybe a misread on his part who knows. I have slacked off on the site but still want and love being part of it.
  14. Sorry to hear about your friend Gary. Our thoughts are with you and his family.
  15. Another thought. I put on leveling links which raised the back end a little. For me this was the worst thing I have ever done to a bike! I thought I was going to crash on every corner. I couldn't wait to get them off and return to normal. Also with tires I personally have never run what the book says. I normally run 5 pounds less than what the max rating that is listed on the tire itself. All the other advice is great and I have used that advice several times myself.
  16. So sad! When I was a wee little venturerider I had no venture. Boo took pity and sold me his. This started bit of a long distance friendship. He sent me calendars from Yamaha. Assisted with buying our first camper. Gonna miss him.
  17. Trying to hide eh! Well I found you all again!
  18. Sorry to hear this Scott. It is always tough watching this happen to someone close. And the mixed feelings between sadness and happiness that it's over finally for him. Our thoughts are with you and yours.
  19. Most of us will run a couple pounds less than the max on the side of the tire. No matter which tire as each has its own max.
  20. Thinking of your friend and wishing him a full recovery!
  21. All the best wishes for a full recovery! We are glad it wasn't worse.
