  1. It sure sounds like Bernie had a good life and you were able to share it with him. Sorry for your loss.
  2. Hey Ron! You and Linda's name also came up as we were reminiscing. That big bonfire you tended is still a thing we remember. You are both missed!
  3. You were brought up in a couple of conversations Squidly. Miss seeing you guy's every now and again!
  4. We or should I say I was going to come down today. Didn't. Still home. See you tomorrow.
  5. You're gonna have to get on the ground! Follow pipe from front till you see the clamping behind rear floorboards. Loosen that. Under saddlebags you will find another bolt that mounts pipe to saddle bag frame take that off. Pipe should slip off. Might take some twist and wiggled or a spray of wd40 . This is assuming the rstd is the same as the rsv .
  6. Well now that sure is strange! We both hope you get this figured out and fixed soonest!
  7. Ya hope he makes it or even both of them! Haven't seen hide nor hair em since Galena last year I think it was. Always enjoy stealing I mean acquiring a cup of coffee at his tent site.

  14. If you have passing lights there is probably a bare wire touching the metal right were the wires make a turn coming down fRom the light too the bar itself. That was the problem with mine twice.
  15. Wow! Glad you are ok. That is some sweet bike! Both times I have been rear ended that's what I hurt. Wrists mostly, I could never figure out the science behind that!
  16. I have those on the side of my lowers. They work great. Open and angled in increases air fĺow on the feet and directing hot engine air to the back and away. Close them in cooler weather. They don't do much in the rain though.
  17. Hmm I wonder what happened. I know I bought the reflectors a couple years ago from them and presented them to my buddy here. They are very nice. Maybe they stopped making them.
  18. Looks good but that's one Harley part I have yet to see on our bikes. Diamondr makes a nice chrome one that will not break.
  19. Remember my southern brethren the card is only good to cross by land and not by air! If you plan to fly to any Canadian destination you will need a real passport. Same rule for us crossing over to see you.
  20. Nope I behaved myself! The journey is done! Uneventful last two days. 6060 miles for me just ten more than Marilyn. 21 states and 3minutes provinces. Thanks for following this amazing trip and we appreciate your support and good wishes!
  21. Great ride today got away at 1030! Couple old girls were camping across from me and insisted I join them for a beer last night. Well this morning as I was packing up they called over so I would join them for breakfast! These old gals get their hubbies to set up camp for them then they shoo away the boys and camp all week! Youngest was 68 and oldest 83! Neat ladies. Anyway I have been at Pete and Hazels since 545 , fed and watered now just kicking back. Last day tomorrow!
  22. I know there is a method to checking these things in the tech write ups. I cannot link as my tablet will not let me. I too have an 07 and I pull a camper. During this last trip I noticed the rear end seemed a little more "sloppy" than usual going around tight corners. This caused several butt clenches and I suspect my bearings need replacing. Its not my tires as they are new and I keep a pretty close eye on pressures. Looks like I am going to learn something new on the blue beast very shortly!
