  1. Thanks everyone, The guy settled with me so this will not be an insurance claim. I looked at Matazu didn't find anything, Ebay has one I think will work, going to pursue that route.
  2. Thanks Doug, no harm to the rider just the ride. You name the time and place and I will be there for the M&E
  3. I was rear ended on the way home Thursday, nothing serious but the accident did ruin the trunk on my 2003 Royal Star Midnight Venture. I am looking for a replacement trunk and mounting brackets if anyone out there has one or can offer up suggestions it would be appreciated.
  4. Tis a beautiful day in the Edmonton!! Jumped on my ventures and headed to the lake for lunch! Be danged if a 2007 Royal Star Midnight venture was not parked right in front of the diner I eat at. Perry is the guys name, he took down the site and said he would check it out!! Enjoy the day everyone!!
  5. Hey Everyone!! Long time since I've been on the site, lots of changes in my world this year so it has been a busy one. Hopefully 2016 will see some calm and I can get back to doing what I enjoy most. I managed to put about 15,000 kilo's or 9,400 Miles on this season. 1 week long trip to Yellowstone and other than that local trips with friends. Hope everyone has a GREAT 2016!!
  6. I'll bet their were two set's of undies needed changing after that, glad everyone came out ok!!
  7. Dave, my experience pales in comparison to many on this site and as of yet I have not been riding for a month long stretch. This past summer I was on the road for 17 days going to and returning from the IR in Guntersville Alabama. I tracked expenses, overall trip cost me roughly $3500.00. I stayed in motels \ hotels which totaled approx. $2000.00. Now I am gainfully employed and these rides are my vacation time so the cost is something I plan out for the year. I could easily reduce the room expense just by researching a little. I know as retirement continues to creep my way I plan on doing as you are, touring the southern states in winter. J and I have discussed it and based on the hotel \ motel expenses over my last two trips (prior year to San Diego) we could have paid for a trailer for the bike. That is the direction I am heading in the not to distant future. hope this helps! One thing I will say, 1 month will not be long enough, it seems like there is so much more to see than time allows. Enjoy your trip and ride safe!!
  8. Amazing Country! Truly Blessed to be able to take in all these sights!!
  9. Pretty amazing hike in the desert. We left Canada a balmy 32 F, next day we were hiking in the White Tank Park at 83 F. The temps were a treat and the scenery was amazing. A worthwhile hike from my point of view!!
  10. Puc, thanks for the advise on the pic's!! I will give it a try & see if I am able to get some uploaded.
  11. Congratulations on completing the ride, it is a accomplishment to be proud of. I hope all works out for your friend!!
  12. I am wondering if anyone has a set of stock pipes they would like to sell. J (better half) enjoyed our return trip from the IR this past summer (she flew into Nashville after the rally) so I see more long distant trips in our future. Her only issue with the entire trip was how loud the bike was. This I can fix. PM me if you have a set you are interested in letting go.
  13. Ben, I had to do a double take on this one....... "forgot there are a few of us young bucks on here" I have heard it said you are only as old as you think you are - does that apply here?
  14. Congrqats on the new addition to your family! She is a cutie!!
