  1. OK folks, we are going to kick this contest off today. It will run for two weeks. I will draw the winning numbers two weeks from today at or around 6:00 PM. There will be two prizes and two winners. First prize will be a set of custom engraved VentureRider carb covers for the Royal Star Venture or Royal Star Tour Deluxe. This prize was generously donated by AdChrome. You can visit his webiste here: http://adchrome.4t.com/ The second prize will be a brand new 4GB Ipod Shuffle. This prize was generously donated by BVinson. Here is a link to one just like it. [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Apple-shuffle-Black-Generation-MODEL/dp/B001FA1NZA?tag=citofgamonlco-20]Amazon.com: Apple iPod shuffle 4 GB Black (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL: MP3 Players & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31gS8%2BEjMqL.@@AMEPARAM@@31gS8%2BEjMqL[/ame] So what is the contest? I'm going to make it very simple. In the spirit of the season, I will ask you to post to this thread about your most memorable Christmas. The one that you have the most joyous memories about. I like these kind of contests because I think they help us to get to know each other better and bring us closer as a family. Now because I realize that we are a diverse group here and I don't want to leave anybody out, I'm going to allow any of you who may not celebrate Christmas to substitute a similar holiday of your choice and if you don't celebrate any holidays at all, then just the most joyous event of your life will certainly suffice. Now I know that some folks are better writers than others so though I encourage you to take this seriously and write more than a two word post, the winner will again be chosen randomly from all the entries. Also, regardless of how many times you post to this thread, each person will receive only ONE chance. OH...and one last thing. Contest is open to supporting members only. So if you are not a supporting member, you still have time to take care of that little issue. So there you have it. On your mark, get set, GO. Good luck to all.
  2. PORK IN THE PINES I would like to offer a personnel challenge to all who are considering coming to the Pork in the Pines. Below are the number of people that actually signed the PIP book last year with the states/province that they live in. The challenge is to get the most people from any particular state/province and they will win a prize to be determined. (i.e first in line for the pig feed) or if possible a real prize. :whistling: For all those people from Minnesota you should take this as a personnel challenge so that we are not out numbered, after all the PIP in in your home state. The cheesheads :whistling:had a equal number of attendees and we all know we can't have that, even though we love them all we need to show some strength and team spirit. :crying: We had more Canadians "A" than from any one state, what does that say about their spirit? Some (Rick) even brought a free case of his favorite beer! :rotf::rotf: I don't want to be the only one talking Scandahovian to everyone and telling Ole and Lena jokes to myself. Ya sure you betcha. Lets get with it folks. Attendees that signed-in with state/province in 2011 We think there were more, but they didn't sign the book MO. - 1 NY.- 2 MN.- 9  WIS.- 9 :moon: Winnipeg- 4 Manitoba- 7 Texas- 2 Illinois- 1 SD.- 2 IOWA- 4 ND 2 Michigan- 1 Ok the challenge is on Minnesota! 6. What a wonderful way to finnish up a wonderful day, here at Motel 6 in Amherst Ohio. Hey, If it's good enough for Randy Travis it's good enough for me, and like he said, "We'll leave the lights on for you"...LOL This place is NICE... The Traveling man let me in on this little prize. Swimming Pool on site and a Bob Evans 200' away... what more could you want? I just got done takin a dip! WaaaaaaHoooooooooooo!
  7. Just recently I had submitted an entry to Niagara Contest and won a third place prize for a $100 gift certificate towards a local merchant here in Niagara. Fist place prize was a new furnace (installed), 2nd was a fridge and stove. Unfortunately (depending where you live) the contest was only open to Niagara residence. Well, they’re hosting another contest and this one is open to whoever wants to apply! All you have to do is to write a little blurb about ‘What you are doing to beat the winter blahs’! Submit your stories and 'you' will have a chance to win! Stories will be published online and will not include any personal information (name, phone number, email, addresses, etc) and will be assigned a contest number, they will reply with your entry number. I have talked with Walter, the CEO of Shop Niagara and he has informed me that you do not have to live in Niagara to submit an entry. So who better to write about "Winter Bla-ahs" then motorcycle enthusiasts!! Simply go to www.shopniagara.ca and click on ‘CONTEST’, it’s near the top right of the page. Once you’re there click on ‘Contest rules’ and it will give you details such as prizes and contact information for any questions. First prize is dinner for eight at ‘Oh Canada eh’ (dinner theater/comedy). Get your stories in, have some fun with it and good luck!! Perhaps you’ll win and the weather will be nice enough to ride in to beautiful Niagara Falls with your scoot to claim your prize! You folks in the 'sunny south' might struggle a bit with this!
  8. we rolled in about 1/2 hr ago.........i am totally exhausted..... but its a good exhausted. more later and of course pics..and a little video of someone who couldnt stay awake the last two nights.... prize winners I will get with you as soon as i get settled in at home again........ we had an awesome time, but.....i didnt get to ride enough... it was sad to see it end and everyone leaving......

  10. come on folks...the more raffle tickets we sell the more prizes we get.......... remember all moneys from raffle ticket sales go towards prizes......... we already have the grand prize of the trailer and 2nd and 3rd place prizes as the netbooks....... Lets get some more prizes !!!! lets get some more tickets sold and also as said many times.........you do not have to be in attendance at the rally to win the grand prize or the 2nd place prize !!
  11. I know someone asked in another post whether u had to be present to win the raffle ticket prizes at the rally..... it has been custom in the past that you had to be present to win anything except the grand prize trailer........ bill announced earlier today about the 2nd and 3rd prizes of the netbooks...... well we have decided this year that not only will the grand prize trailer be a "not need to be present to win" item..........but also 1 of the netbooks....... so 1st ( the trailer)and 2nd ( a netbook) prizes can be won by anyone whether they are in attendance or not at the rally.
  12. When considering buying raffle tickets for the 09 rally please remember that you do not have to attend the rally or be present to win the top prize....... We really need to sell some more tickets...the rally is only a month away ! Thanks to all who have purchased tickets !
  13. Let me tell you folks......the sales for the raffle tickets are very low at this point and there are some issues with the bushtec trailer people and management changes which is changing the discount they can give us for a trailer for the prize. At this point in the game it is looking very slim that we will be able to have one of their trailers as the prize this year. The commitee is going over this and deciding what to do. We will still have a great top prize well worth your raffle ticket purchase....when we have made the final decisions we will let you all know. please remember that this is out of our hands........and totally in yours as to how many tickets are sold.... At this time..I also would like to thank all who have generously donated towards the kids raffle too !!
  14. any one that would like to donate something for the drawing at the 09 rally is more than welcome to. i have already had several people donate things. for now just think about it and we will come up with an address where you can send it, or just bring it with you to the rally. all donations will be appreciated. want to see every one leave with a prize. the drawing will be at the last dinner and you must be present to win, accept for the trailer. if you have something to donate pm me. thanks in advance. the more we have to give away the more fun. bill
  15. Okay folks, Must say that the sale of raffle tickets for the Grand Prize drawing at the 2009 International Rally has been less than impressive. So, even if you can't make the rally, if you are interested in taking a chance on winning the grand prize, which, hopefully, will be another Bushtec Trailer, you need to get in touch with Cinderella to get your tickets.
  16. Any earlybirds yet...............wish I was there...........got to work tomorrow instead.......Yall have yallselves a gr8t time..!!!! Who gets the prize for 1st arrival at M/D.
