  1. MOTORCYCLE CARB BALANCER Amazingly simple yet incredibly accurate Motorcycle Carb Balancer. This incredibly simple device will synch your bikes carbs like no other balancer with 'pinpoint accuracy" for a fraction of the cost of some balancers. Certain tradesmen tools rely on nature to help find a certain accuracy, for example a plumb line and bob will always show a true vertical line. A spirit level cannot lie. This carb balancer uses gravity in a similar manner to show a true centre, this is why it is so accurate. Other balancers costing far more often compare the vacuum readings of the different carbs with each other and can sometimes be difficult to decipher, this carb balancer is different, as it compares the vacuum readings with a known truthful centre, namely 'gravity." Inside the balancer are two tiny balls, one of these balls has the sole job of telling you nature's centre via gravity, the other ball is influenced by the vacuums taken from two carbs at any one time. If the two carbs are working in harmony the two balls will align, if not the lower ball will move to one side. Simply turn the screw on you bike's carbs to align the two balls and synch the carbs, its as easy as that! The Carb Balancer can synchronise 2,3 and four cylinder bikes. Start with the base cylinder and any other carb, then subsequent carbs. The base cylinder is the carb with the throttle stop/tick over screw. Repeat the process to super synch your carbs. If your carbs are badly out of synch your engine will be under terrific extra strain as your pistons are working against each other, and not with each other, sapping vital power and fuel. Synchronise your carbs to perfection and you may notice an amazing improvement in power and performance, just look at some of the feedback given for this amazing tool under our feedback.Use the tool time and time again to keep your bike in tune . This quality tool is neat and compact it weighs only 100gms and you can even keep it on your bike when you go touring.
  2. Whats the definition of guts vs balls? Guts is when you come home from an all night drinking binge with your buddies and your wife greets you at the door with her broom and you say "are you still sweeping up or are you taking that out for a spin tonight"? Balls is when you come home from partying all night, smelling like stale beer and cheap perfume and your wife meets you at the door and you say " " Whoa, you're next, Chubby"
  3. 85 Royale that I would like to lower slightly -- but from what I am seeing in the forums is a different seat the only way? I am a little on the "shorter side" and with the bike sitting straight I have the balls of my feet on the ground. Would like a little more than that but can get by -- just wondering what the options are. Thanks in advance. Scott

  5. The Mayonnaise Jar When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, When 24 hours in a day is not enough; remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and started to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured it into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded With an unanimous 'yes.' The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. 'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the things that matter like your job, house, and car.. The sand is everything else -- The small stuff. 'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, You will never have room for the things that are important to you. So... Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the dripping tap. 'Take care of the golf balls first -- The things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.' One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked'. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'
  6. OK,anyone that has ridden a Gold Wing especially over a rougher road knows the front fork set up could use some attention..dont get me wrong it is super on the highway but you still feel harsher bumps thru the handlebars. That being stated I just got home from a ride with another Wing that has the "All Balls" and Progressive Rate springs installed on it...plus a Kumho Run Flat Car Tire. My observations:Night and day difference having the progressive rate springs in the front end,the all ball head bearings are very stable feeling, seems more responsive also. The progressive Rate springs took 95 % of harshness out..Im saying 95% because after appx 50 miles or whatever riding it I didnt feel the harshness but Im sure as with any bike a hard enough hole in the road will make it jolt you. The Car Tire....I will not be going with it..I felt very unsure on it as it seemed to want to roll as I would corner, that being said the guy that owns it can easily scrape the boards and corner as good if not better than I. On April 5th I will be going to Houston to have the all balls and progressive springs plus shock bled and reloaded plus Chrome Wheels installed. For $275.00 I am having the All Balls and Springs put in,I am supplying the springs. I think this will be the best money I have spent tweaking a bike compared to the ride I took today. I hope this write up helps anyone with questions on the front suspension. IM me if you need the guys number or if OK with Freebird I will post it here..Tom
  7. Just fishing for tips and tricks from any one who who Has done this. Mine is an Air Bag. I am hoping that disconecting the battery is sufficient to prevent mis hap in that area. Plan is to drop the forks tear them down install Progresive springs and reseal and re bush. In my head it is a pretty straight forward operation. I should have gotten "All Balls" for the steering head as well but it is an afterthought and with the holiday and availible time off now I will go ahead with the forks and do the steering head later.
  8. Freeze The Balls Off a Brass Monkey: Is a nautical term which refers to the days of wooden ships and iron men. A Brass Monkey was a plate made of brass with indentations milled into it to hold and stack cannon balls for ready use. These plates were square or triangular and approximately 2-3 foot on each side. Brass being a better conductor of heat would expand in hot weather not causing much of a problem. However in the cold brass will shrink to a point where the cannon balls pushed against each other and at times causing the stack to collapse. This would result in unsure footing at best or a truly dangerous situation if the cannon balls had fuses.

    balls

Thats right balls. Big balls, little balls, balls of all sizes and shapes. Thats what my 3 yr old grandson enjoys the most for toys. Nothing extravagant in a kids ball. It's all fun. Ahh, the simple things in life. Just surfing feeling blue and came across this happy BS on a health site. Seasonal depression, which medical professionals call seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, is depression that occurs only at a certain time of the year, usually winter. It is sometimes called "winter blues." Although it is predictable, it can be very severe. Boy if this isn't right on.. Come-on summer!
  10. Well I have been thinking about buying a full touring bike and the venture had my attention till I sat on it. I'm just 5'8" so I was up on the balls of my feet which is not going to work. Any lowering ideas out there?
