  1. I just put a set on my 05. Have about 400 miles on them so far and I do not like them. The bike is extremely squirrelly at highway speeds. Especially the front end. Right mow I am running at max pressure but I am going to drop them a couple pounds and see it that makes a difference. If they don't get better I will be going back to avons I guess. So far I wish I had spent the extra 100 bucks. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  2. On my first tire change with the venture, I ordered a set of 83 degree aluminum valve stems to make checking and filling easier. The valve stems were 11.3 mm which I was assured was a yamaha standard. Well the front fit great. I love it and it is still doing great. The rear however would not fit as the hole in the rim was too small. I am now two tire changes down the road and I believe I have found a 90 degree stem from K&L for the rear that will work. When I put the new tires on next week I will know for sure. http://www.kurveygirl.com/valve/AL%20Valve%20-%2011,3%20-%20Silver%20-%20Side%20View.jpg
  3. That's my problem also and the local dealer said he is so busy he can't even talk to me about making an appointment for 3 weeks. Before driving 1 - 2 hours somewhere else, I wanted to find out how much, if any, warranty was remaining. No number or website I can check myself???? Not good
  4. When I bought my 2nd gen I rememeber having the warranty transferred but can not find that information now. Is there a web site or number where can find out when my warranty expires?
  5. ...And Bugfish69 wondering how the heck he's going to pay for it???
  6. Expensive trip but would love to do it one day. http://www.lake-express.com/default.aspx Another runs from Ludington, MI to Manitowoc, WI. A few dollars cheaper but slower. http://www.ssbadger.com/home.aspx
  7. I used a Boostaroo, although an earlier model, on my previous bike and it worked great. Have not needed since I got the venture, but we still use it as a splitter when watching movies on the laptop and that type of thing.
  8. Oh, so it's our fault now. Pretty good attempt at deflecting the blame. Unfortunately it won't work. I couldn't stop for you wife becuase I actually took mine with me when I left the gas station! :rasberry:
  9. No Doubt! Hopfully she get's the half she's allowed to ride on!
  10. It's a good thing we cut him off or he would have been gone for sure!!!!!!
  11. I switched from the Yamaha stock to the 13" show chrome so I could look over the shield instead of through it. Obviously it's not as calm and quiet as the stock, but it's not enough to bother me either. I'm 5' 8" and my wife is 5' 4" and she never said a word or mentioned any difference when I changed shields.

    Thank You

We send our thanks also. It was fun party and we enjoyed seeing everyone again. Jim & Wendy
  13. Here's one way. Not that I'm recommending it. 1. Remove pumpkin and shaft 2. Clean and Grease end of drive shaft 3. Reinsert Pumpkin and shaft 4. Realize you did not insert the shaft properly and now drive shaft is bound up 5. Wiggle, Jiggle, and then pull real hard on the pumpkin 6. Fall back in surprise at what you are holding 7. Scratch you head and make a new plan. Don't worry about the grease in your hair you have bigger problems. Don't ask me how I know. By the way the gear on the pumpkin end of the shaft looked pretty oily to me.
  14. Since you have both, have someone modify the original. Rick Butler did mine and it made a world of difference for me. It's a much cheaper solution than the daylong.
  15. the list of stuff for you to fix is getting really long. Just kidding. Looking forward to your safe return. Take Care, Jim & Wendy
