  1. Stop making me cry! That's wonderful. I have a friend & daughter that has been going through a similar story. Being a cop, as is he, we often want to take matter such as this into our own hands, but if we'll put it in God's hands...it always works for good. We'll continue to pray for Hallie.
  2. Great news! God still works in our lives!
  3. I bought one for my wife and she said it really helped her. Once she wasn't needing it I loaned it to a friend. He uses it twice a day and sweared by it.
  4. Now why didn't I think of that:bang head:
  5. That is sweet looking!
  6. I'm with the responses you've recieved from the others. I will tell you the first time I took mine off, I literally had to drive the axle out, it was dry with NO lube on it. Since then its taken an hour from breakdown to riding. No problem. Plus, you get the benefit of knowing you did it yourself and it was done correctly!
  7. I've never heard of the fronts locking up, they may have, but I've not heard of it. On the rear it is very much up to the rider. I've not locked my rear brakes up, ever, but then I am prone to using the front heavily, as that's where 85% of the braking occurs on a bike or car. I was offering what was available, not advice on what to put on.
  8. There are two options on brake pads. The first is the standard "organic" pads that come on the bike. The others which are better pads, but cause a bit more rotor wear are EBC Sintered pads. They will definitely shut you down, but at somewhat of a cost on rotors. I've got the sintered pads on mine and haven't noticed a great deal of wear yet, but if someone decides to pull out in front of me I want the brakes up to the task. The sintered are about $30-35 (3 sets needed) organics are $18-25. Motorcycle Superstore is where I got my last ones. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/
  9. You're just gonna get in trouble!
  10. Mine pics, wish I could have been there!
  11. Yeah that...PICS!
  12. Try here. I've used them before and like their service. http://www.casporttouring.com/optimizer/product/23500.html
  13. This sounds similar to my problem and one that we've been talking about on another thread. When you turn it on, does the fuel pump engage? I'd try taking the left side cover off and lightly tapping the fuel pump. Mine did the same thing and is headed for the shop this week. I gave a light tap to the fuel pump and it pumped for several seconds and voila, we're in business.
  14. Hey I'm thinking road trip! We need to meet up in Sedalia and go to Ozark! There are a couple of other members on here in Sedalia as well.
  15. I have the Road Kings...maybe I'm getting old, I was looking for just a bit of rumble, but not a lot, as I like 400-500 mile days. I have had loud pipes in the past and after a hard day they just get old for me. The RK's in the stage 3 form are perfect for us, low rumble, but not annoying.
  16. Mines been doing the same thing. I had to lightly tap the FP with the butt end of your hex wrench it will pump up. I have an appointment to take her in on Tuesday. I would have taken it in last week, but I had a 650 mile trip planned. Just returned! :) I feel much better now!
  17. Exactly! I double my stopping distance, but with the Sintered Pads, it will shut down...if you really need to!
  18. Nothing like the feeling of fixing her yourself!
  19. its post like this one...you know, where somewhere along the line there was a sharp left turn...that is so additive about this site!
  20. I've had both and like the Venture better as well. My next rear will be a Kumho too. I had a E3 in stock, so I'll wear it out this year.
  21. Me too boomer...some days I just look for your tag lines!
  22. I drained mine last week as I was putting in a new temp gauge. While I had the plug out of the top of the cylinder using Goose's method of installing a sensor (Thanks for a great article Goose) I drained the fluid. While that plug is out you seem to get it all out. I pulled the rubber plugs and not another drop came out. So the next time I do a coolant change I may just remove my temp sensor and the reinstall. For what it’s worth. P.S. If the top plug is out when you remove the lower radiator plug, YOU WILL GET EVERYTHING WET, including you, the floor, your tools, anything within 6 feet of your bike and your neighbor's interested cat. (Ask me how I know!)
  23. I tend to like to ride everywhere, but like Eck, I sometimes need to trailer. Later this summer I'll be trailering to Limon CO and ride in the state for a week. Riding across KS would probably keep her from going and I want to spend time with her. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
  24. Well, I wish you were closer to Missouri. I'd love to have you adjust mine!
