Coming home from Savannah today I almost lost my running light. the frame mounted bracket to which squidly's light bracket, the horn and a fog light are mounted broke clean off. The metal is clean all through the break, so this was not a developing crack with ultimate break. Don't know if something hit the light to have caused this, but at least she landed on my boot and hung on by the wiring. Question one would be if any one knows of the top if this is a bolt on tab or welded on. And second, if it is bolted on does anyone have a spare (left side) so I can fix this easy like. Thanks!!

Went in to get a smoked screen for my Fulmer and walked out with a Scorpion @ 40% off!! It was a special order and the guy ordered the wrong size. I like this one better, better fit. I wear a 3/4 in summer and a full face in winter, something about those 90 degree days

So you want to explain why it would be hard on Peg to drive the P/U back home and not on you??? No offense intended Buddy, but it sounds to me a little male chauvinism is shining through here. And I would second the fly down, ride back option, would save you 20 hours of driving as well, which means you would have probably 15 hours extra to ride home = less fatigue; = safer.

A friend of mine broke his knee and had reconstructive surgery, though I think he's nuts he was driving his stick shift truck and his bike within three weeks and operating a skid steer. he's rigged everything so he won't have to use his left leg. Some folks have no sense

change registration to have a few mandatory fields, one of which is what make and model bike you want to register here. Maybe up to two bikes?? Then you can just do a search on who has what. Might want to add a check box for trikes and sidecars too... I'd say "shouldn't be too hard", ... but what the heck do I know

I tried that site and i don't like it, too much clutter and unneccesary c@p. I prefer Maps.google.com. It allows you to create your own route if the one offered doesn't suit you, modify routes provided routes if you wnat and even offeres alternatives if you so desire. Using Intellicast.com for weather, it doesn't give a one page setup with all the info but the radar maps are great and what is the big deal about an extra click or two.

Small world!! I "graduated" class of 75 as well. Though as an exchange student and one year in a US high school, it's more an experience thing. There's very few people I remember, one is a blond long haired girl in choir who was .... very good looking (shall we say), whom I want to affix the name Cathy to. And there was a guy in math who helped me an awful lot, can't remember his name though.

class of '75??

it's been a while since I lived in "P-Town" as an exchange student but as I recall Traverse City isn't quite next door. You commute??

I've been thinking maybe it's time to park the trailer and find another less physically demanding job. don't get me wrong, I like working outside by myself and for myself, but the knees are going, so are the wrists and back, it's just a matter of time .... Now if i could find some simple work at home job on the computer, that might just be the ticket. anyone got suggestions??

This is very short notice, but if you're interested, tomorrow is the Blue Ridge Fest benefit poker run. registration online or starting 0830. Blessing of the bikes at 0900 and starts running from 0915 till 1100. cost $25.00 last year they had like 500 bikes. It's supposed to be a 100 mile run starting in Pickens SC and ending in Anderson SC (at the HD store I believe) Brenda and I would like to go but I am not too interested in running a group of one. If any of you guys wants to join up PM me and we'll see where and when we can join up. If you are already planning on going and don't mind additional company let me know. temps in the upper 80 w. chance of isolated T'stroms

Lousy timing Earl! You should've done that when you had three feet of snow on the ground, wouldn't have had to shovel and be able to ride this summer. Would've been even better if you'd stayed on your feet. Hope you get over this soon. Take care.

Ditto on all the above, ran about 100 miles down the interstate @ 80mph with the sidecar, started with a almost full tank and still have two bars left so I should be able to get another 40 (theoretical) Normally I fill up around 120 130 miles depending on where I drive. I do believe I get better mileage with straight gas, it's just hard to come by!

On a similar vein; I heard on the radio that a 13 yr old was told by the teacher to quit drawing an American flag with the words "In God We Trust", because it was offensive .....

saw a couple of stratoliner (and/or roadliner) at the dealer the other day, running from 16 to 19 depending what's on it. the 19K was a new '08!!

Definitely use the kickstand! Brenda tried the floorboard and swing the leg through technique once and we wound up having to pick the bike up. Granted, I didn't have the stand down and she didn't swing her leg through A tad more leverage then I could hold:confused24:

I'll second Annie's statement. A good chiropractor will also be able to adjust the wrist itself for problems. I also drink "Elation" (Wall Mart, Publix, Rite Aid, etc), seems to work pretty good and you can tell a dif in a week whereas pills take a month. Now if I just remember to buy that stuff:doh:

No more clicking, no more clacking. no more wobble:cool10: Thanks to all who assisted in resolving this problem. Might be torqued a little harder then suggested but that's OK. I am happy!:sun:

I'm replacing the steering head bearing on my '83. The manual says 5.1 ft/lbs. Where have you adjusted yours to with the hack attached? I've been told that you can tighten it down more to prevent wobble with the hack. Thanks

Not to change the subject, but you need to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, the constitution says you have the right to bear arms (no permit). so why mess with the permit, just clip the thing on our belt. I'm still trying to figure out how to carry my combat sword

I like the old riverfront and Tybee Island is closeby as well. Haven't had a chance to explore all of Savannah. supposed to go to a wedding there this summer, hopefully we'll have some time to spend there.
