  1. The problem I see with that Don, is that if you don't get it before it hits the forum, there may be answers relating to the post you want to delete, would you then have to delete those replies as well. I am nosy enough to wonder who said what on some threads, but I'm sure I'll live Keep doing what you're doing, the only other reasonable alternative I see is to lock the thread so nobody can post to it.
  2. Oh shush!! Last time we lost a cat (mine the other three are Brenda's) we came home with three!! No sympathy from me!!
  3. It's been a long time since I pulled a 16 ...... But having said that: '02 dodge 3500 standard cab diesel and chipped: 25mpg interstate @65-70mph. Same truck with a 24foot enclosed 15 chipped and 12 unchipped. I'm thinking I was getting 16/17mpg with my 16 foot trailer I would agree, fly over and rent a U-Haul/Hertz truck with car dolly for the return trip. It'll also save you hours of driving!

Saw it when it first came out and went back the next weekend to see it in 3D. Brenda got a great headache from the 3D stuff and I didn't particularly care for the dry eyes etc. either. Can't say it was worth the extra money to see it in 3D. Didn't see IMax though... And aren't most all movies the same old sceme??
  5. but why would you not be able to put smaller wheels on it??
  6. Isn't that for a MkII?? I don't have those on my Mk!!!
  7. So I guess the next question would be: can I cap this #2 bib? i.e do I need the boost sensor? I may see if I can get ahold of you on the phone after work, if that's OK? Thanks for the links Gary!
  8. That just hurts looking at it, can only imagine what it does for the bed linens and your furniture. Hope this will get things healed up like they're supposed to Annie!
  9. In another effort to find out why she ('83 VR) is running like crap, I was looking at some of the carb sync threads and was trying to locate all applicable parts on the carbs. Instead of a "plug" on the #2 (?) cylinder (left front) I noticed there is a vacuum line on there. This used to run to a cannister above the plastic heat shield on the rear cylinders and from there to ???? The cannister had a big hole melted into it following a exhaust leak and I never traced the outgoing vac line down. I did not see "vacuum line" mentioned anywhere, so is this thing on all bikes? i.e. does it matter/is it important? Am I correct in assuming that I should be OK to cap this tube altogether? Is it safe to say that if my plugs are all a light gray and the exhaust pipes all get hot my coils are good? Same question for the CTI? (which I have not found yet!) There is (a lot of) road grime on the left front carb towards the airbox and the left rear carb appears to be "wet" as well, any idea where this may be coming from? I seem to remember some/ several saying to pull the YICS chamber, don't remember why, if I do, do I plug the hoses or cross connect them and in which way? Well that ought to get me started I think. Thanks in advance! edit: should probably add that I could smell fuel while checking around
  10. Yes! my mother used to have a towel in the car soaked in essentially dish water, then dried, to wipe the inside of the car windshield, it cut down on fogging.
  11. Is it subject to the lens tint? I've got some glasses with interchangeable lenses and with the dark lenses I can't see well at night, Guess my nightvision is going to hell as I get wiser.
  12. I got a chip for that (if it is an 02) that will improve your mileage 25% and horsepower, if interrested PM me!
  13. I watched it after you first posted it and though it's pretty darn impressive driving, I'm wondering just what is being promoted? It's too long for a commercial and the emphasis seems to be on the driving skill, not on the sponsors products. And since there does not seem to be much need for drivivng skills like that in everyday life, what exactly is the point? Still, like I said, pretty darn impressive driving!
  14. Brenda has a '01 Audi TT convertible, baseball stiching and all she loves it! I drive an '07 dodge 3500 w the clean burning diesel, the clean burning engine burns more fuel then the standard diesel especially at highway speeds. I went from 25mpg (chipped) in my standard cab to 12 in my crew cab!! Not sure if the extra fuel burned to create a clean burning engine is actually causing more "pollution" then a "dirty" diesel
  15. Hope your homeowners will cover that!
  16. Found it, turns out it was in the same place I fixed last time so now I know why things went kaplouie then as well. I've had a area where the yard was settling, I'm surmising the settling caused the lines to drop as well and literally pull the couplings apart. :bang head: The bad thing is that it also blew out the sewage line coupling and since some idiot (not me) placed the water and sewer line in the same trench, when the water line went it shot pretty much straight in the sewer line, hence no river in the yard. Oh well, it's fixed:sun: Looks like the yard is not done "settling" I found a hole big enough to bury three or four incompetent politicians! Would have to have been one hell of a tree if that's what caused it. Retaining wall is going to bite the dust on this I think, good thing I know the guy who built it:cool10: Brenda's on a mission now to find out who signed of on this :stirthepot:
  17. indescribable:doh:
  18. Getting ready to jump in the shower, no water!!!:scratchchin: First thing going through your head is, is the water bill paid? Answered that by looking at the meter going 90mph . Must have caught it right after it happened 'cause I don't have a lake anywhere yet, It's raining cats and dogs , guess I'll tackle that in the a.m. Bummer, I hate getting dirty:bang head:
  19. Was it HF or Northern tool that sold the MC trailer for a couple hundred? And on a diiferent tack; is there a trailer with brakes installed or could you retrofit a trailer (sidecar) with brakes? where to find the brakes?

    22. But I am Dutch???:whistling: The ones I missed on were the 'bonus' questions
  21. Isn't Florida the "deep south" whereas the rest is "the South"?? ... 'Course, snowbirds move "south" to get away from the snow, meaning they move to Florida, the "deep South", then when they get tired of dealing with huricanes they move north and get stranded in "the South", which is a problem 'cause even Virginia is part of the "old South", so some of youz, live in the south, move south, move back north to get back in the south, meaning we get to deal with you damn yankees, which are not to be confused with Yankees 'cause they come visit and leave whehereas the other variety stay, I could carry this forward to even further southern reaches which would bring the topic to damn illegals and damn foreigners, thought we might have to exclude some of the latter since most of "the old country" is north of the south ........ Are you still with me???
  22. Quit yer whining!! It's all in the attitude folks, complain about 9F, or smile and say: its a comfy 260degrees > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >> >> > > Kelvin or 468 R
  23. See post #6 I marked everything read and still show 230 post. If the object is to simplify then this is not it. I used to log on and go to new thread, if I wanted to respond it would show up immediately on the new post list, i wouldn't have to hunt it down! I wouldn't have to mark all forums as read,. cause if I came back 6 hours later only the new stuff would show and not everything I was't interrested in. And yes I only subscribe to the forums that pertain to me or that I am interrested in. I realize that most folks don't like change and that not all change is bad, but this is not an improvement.
  24. You can keep it Don! Marked everything as read after your first answer and i am still showing 230 posts after closing and re-opening IE . Maybe you should attach a poll?
  25. Seems to have done more then anticipated. I now have 235 new posts whereas a half hour ago I had 23 (supplement) and after answering the thread/post does not show up on the new post list
