I've had the gas smell, but not been able to find anything. I've assumed maybe diaphrams. I try to run straight gas, which I believe gives me better MPG's, otherwise I run midgrade. I have times where she just doesn't feel right but can't find evidence of a plug not firing, and the exhaust gets hotter then I care to touch. Maybe a partial or intermittent coil?? And how do you find which one, if not consistent. I'm down to 32-34 with the sidecar on.

Went back to the Mach-3 for price but the Fusion is a better set up and I guess I'll be spending more. Can't go more then a week with them though. Never thought the electrics gave a good shave even after your skin got "used to it". Can't see bouncing back and forth, wouldn't be able to get a good shave ever. You could do the laser treatment if you don't have too much grey, or like a guy I knew waaaayyyyyyyy back when who did that other stuff where they burn the follicle, he said he needed one more treatment (three total). No more shave, ever!

Looks like it flipped, If it did and that's all the damage you could argue it's build like a tank

Looks to me the problem is not the paint, but rather a lack of chrome Maybe some chromed fenders, or a chromed luggage rack for the top, or ... Might consider a pin stripe between the colors to set it off a little. Be less work then re-painting ....

Was browsing through E-Bay and came across a listing for a Roadliner. Interesting that some of the looks are very similar for the Victory vision http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Peral-White-Roadliner-S-with-Corbin-package_W0QQitemZ120545981612QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item1c1119b4ac

Thanks Steve, send them a message.

Looked at that too but, unlike yours, my sidecar has no springs and going to a car parts store is like pulling teeth to find a matching length:depressed:

Can I interest you in a set of boards, see the classifieds.

Still looking for shocks; found some Red Wings on E-Bay which may fill the bill. Item number:250600905032 would be the right length but no load rating available and I am somewhat concerned about the size of the "head" Item number:370346368618 would be 1/4inch shorter then what I currently have but no load rating. Item number:390168046020 ditto Anyone have any more information they can give me about these? Thanks!

Kevin, That a thread or what, you don't show a album in your profile that I can see. Sorry! I've been looking at how and what color to paint mine, so this is interesting.

Bikers slow Paris Roads & Trains very effective...
barend replied to frogmaster's topic in Watering Hole
though I don't specifically disagree with our assessment let me continue your conclusions: - is hybrid cars are allowed in HOV lanes with a single occupant then all single occupant cars should be allowed - If you allow a MC (solo rider) in a HOV lane and treat MC's as equal to cars then they too should be allowed in the HOV lane. -if cars are equal to MC's then why demand separate licensing. -if cars are equal to Mc's then why target MC riders for specific restrictions as described in another thread about MC fatalities (Canada). The fact is that MC's are different animals then cars, to treat them as equals is folly! We should probably also add to that, that this is France and in a larger sense, Europe. People are adjusted to pedestrian, bicycle, moped and MC traffic due to the very common use there. ( I rode my bicycle to school from age 12, weaving trough traffic as needed and I rode a moped from age 16). This type of traffic is not common here since kids go to school in a bus lest they get tired or have to ride too far, and they get a permit by age 15. And an adult on a cycle/moped must mean they have lost their license due to DUI. That is not to say I personally would split lanes, but if someone else feels comfortable doing so and it is allowed by law (e.g. California), more power to them. Politicians have a nasty habit of targeting the least vocal group to solve what are esentially nom-existing problems. Btw: even 35 years ago the German police would not target speeders on the Autobahn, but rather unsafe drivers, a refreshing approach, don't you think?- 12 replies

It's back! I installed the heavy brace which reduced the wobble, changed the front tire and it was basically gone Except for one small instance where I felt it ever so lightly. Now it's back. I've made some adjustments on the sidecar and need to correct the tracking but other then that No changes were made structurally. While out riding yesterday i had the great idea to give a quick tug on the handlebar, which immediately set off a brief wobble, but it also felt like there was a click when I tugged. Probably should have tugged on the right side too to see if the result was the same but didn't. Steering head??

I love it!!! The one thing that stood out in the article was this: It is now time that public authorities, wherever they are in the world, realise that they’re not above everyone else. To the contrary, they are there to serve the people who elected them. Whodathunk politicians are all alike the world over???- 12 replies

Went to pick up my repaired laptop , going down a two lane (country road), the red Expedition in front of me was making a right turn on what I assumed was a gravel drive. Hard to tell from my position and the lay of the land. The right shoulder went straight down 10-15 feet. I'm almost at a stop and looking in my mirror I see a car hauling ass coming up on me. Can't go right, it's a hole and that would hurt; can't go left, oncoming car, that would hurt even more. The Expedition is starting to turn but not nearly fast enough, By then I hear the wheels on the car lock up, a quick look in the mirror shows the car starting to slide, I decided to just look ahead. didn't want to see him hit me:confused24: Which didn't happen, thank goodness. got to practice my french though. Probably some redneck prikweed talking on the cellphone.......

Hmm, not sure I want to go here, but ..... was that on the bike?? Was that 5.7 gallon after a non stop ride. You mean Jeff was willing to push:whistling: And did Jeff have a couple of brewskies and you didn't, cutting into his stamina? :stirthepot: Sorry, just couldn't resist:confused24: Btw, is that a gravity feed tank, I wouldn't mind adding a tank now that I have the sidecar, it seems to cut into my mpg's, but I would probably install it in the sidecar which would necessitate a pump. I have found though that straight gas gives me better mileage than that ethanol enhanced crap. Greenhouse gasses be damned Of course a 2 gallon container is cheaper:D but not as safe:whistling:

Have 83 VR handlebar options?
barend replied to OldBull's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
There's a small rectangular insert towards the tank cover which pops out. Phillips head underneath. Forgot what, if anything is on the insert, lost mine I haven't looked to see where mine are adjusted on the '83. I wouldn't mind mine back further, maybe an inch or so. But more important I would like my grips to be angled more forward so that I would have less wrist flexing and my hand would be more perpendicular on the grip. Of course that creates a problem since the two contradict each other. Oh well, maybe I'll win the lottery:rotfl: -
Been there when I first started, except I had the trailer pass me heading for a house; weird feeling!!!, It was stopped by a line of trees. Took one (6 inch) out; ten seconds earlier it might have gone down the wrong side of a four lane during morning rush:doh: Might try that on my (wife's) desktop. I'm a bit gunshy about uninstalling Norton from it though.
