  1. This web site may be of some interest. http://WWW.expertvillage.com If you search motorcycle (top right of screen) there are suppose to be 268 videos of all sort's pertaining to motorcycles. Keith
  2. I have one like that Sony on that link...nice little radio....good reception....around the house anyway. Its 4-1/2"x2-1/2"x1"... Keith
  3. Here are a couple of pic's of old (21000kms) vs new...both are Yamaha pads.....fronts were like new Keith
  4. I have a Nelson Rigg suit AX-1....I rode across Nova Scotia this summer on the way back from the Kitchener Rally in torrential rain and did not get wet at all. Very comfortable and is sized nicely to wear over protective gear. I would not recommend the Choko glove covers...they are a 3 finger nylon cover to wear over your gloves...totally useless. Keith
  5. Eddie Have a look at this type on this site. I don't have them so I can't give info. Keith http://www.electricalconnection.com/other-lighting/tsk-star&sport.htm
  6. When I first bought my bike I didn't have a place to store it inside so I bought the Yamaha cover (STR-4XYDX-CV-R1) a bit expensive but fit perfectly and did a very good job of protecting the bike in all types of Weather....just don't plan to take it along its a bit bulky....I have yet to get it back into the pouch it came in. I also bought a travel half cover from Cruiser Customizing that is great for those trips away from home. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=42&Category_ID=9&manufacturer_ID=254&product_ID=21587&sblid_name=Ultraguard_UltraGard__Touring_____Cover___Black_for_Yamaha_Royal_Star_Venture_ Keith
  7. I lost one of my seat hold down nuts awhile ago and figured if I replaced it with an original I would lose it again eventually. I picked up a couple of drawer pull knobs for .99 ea. They are all plastic and are not threaded. I just happen to have a 6mm tap so after drilling them(5mm or 13/64") I tapped the hole in the knob. It has been on there quite awhile. It makes removing the seat a breeze and are easy to check and give them a quick twist if needed. Keith

  11. Like Ramblingman said its a good idea to check your hold down bolts. After reading this post I decided to check mine. Of the 6 bolts 4 were loose....the 2 outer bolts were very loose.(Stock Windshield) Thanks for the info Keith
  12. This is a good site for trailer info and sources http://www.tailpullers.org/content/trailer_index.cfm Keith
  13. My last set of Avon's came from Cruiser Customizing.......shipping is 10% of total order but I did insist they did not send them via UPS http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/index.cfm?mc=100539 I also checked with G Bourque in N.B and their price was very close to C.C. but I don't believe they stock the Avon's and have to order them. http://showrooms.canadatrader.com/showrooms.asp?Dealer_id=1104-1101&status=0 If you have any doubt about the avon's here are a couple of pic's....new and 9800Kms later. The stock Dunlop's only lasted around 11,000kms Keith
  14. I have a 20' x 24' garage that I use a propane heater in. Takes only a few minutes to heat up and uses a standard BBQ tank for fuel. Keith
  15. I bought one of these ....fits perfect...nice sturdy lock http://cgi.ebay.ca/Honda-Kawasaki-Suzuki-Yamaha-Motorcycle-Disc-Brake-Lock_W0QQitemZ200248165042QQihZ010QQcategoryZ34284QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Keith

  17. Yep ...its the same site that was posted earlier Keith
  18. I sent an order to IMC a week ago and another follow up E Mail and have not received any response. Anybody deal with them recently ? Keith
  19. I didn't have the one from Yamaha but had one made...it was a little snug going off and on but stretched after awhile. I would suggest that you put a leash on it somehow. Mine decided to take flight while traveling to the rally in Kitchener. I'm having another one made and told him to add a piece that I can tuck in under the plastic cover somehow. I know I sure miss mine...the gas cap reflection sure is irritating. Keith
  20. Here is a nice Chrome one...only a duel tho ! http://www.bigbikeparts.com/Inventory/Navision/13-207?catalogNo=1 or a triple http://www.bigbikeparts.com/Inventory/Navision/52-705MA?catalogNo=1 Keith
  21. Get yourself a block of wood and put it under the stand to level it. Keith
  22. I picked up the smaller sheepskin and made 2 pads from it. I do a lot of solo riding so 2 pieces worked better for me. I just attached an elastic strap to the front using quick release buckles. Keith
  23. Some pic's I just took of my pegs. I installed them while at the rally in Kitchener and was very happy to have them on the trip home. Mine are not longhorns tho. Keith
  24. Here is an E Bay seller that sells Polished Reservoir screws....not cheap but shiney !!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Kawasaki-Suzuki-Yamaha-FLUID-RESERVOIR-CAP-SCREWS_W0QQitemZ230277404297QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230277404297&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A1&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14.l1318 Keith
  25. You are not the first to ask this question. Here are a couple of pic's I took awhile ago when someone else asked. I think that assembly can get bent under the plastic cover. I know one time I forced mine open so it would open wider after the dealer forced the lid closed. Keith
