i'm thinking of a shorty cover for the bike for when on a trip to protect against weather and wandering eyes, windshield to trunk type, would these type put undue stress on the windshield mounting screws? thanks for thoughts and ideals steve:Venture:

Hey everyone that attended the Pork in the Pines I'm changing my handle from Tall Tom to Shorty. I have many friends in both the Venture Riders and Venturers motorcycle clubs and it will be alot less confusing with one handle. Anyone that has met me will understand that Shorty fits me better anyway.

I just ordered a Bell shorty helmet from Competition Accessories and would like to know if anyone has anything to say about them. My Fulmer shorty has fit well but is needing to be changed due to age. I bought a Scorpion last fall but it fits terrible. For the $50+change to get the Bell (includes freight) I thought I would give it a try. I used Bell helmets in the 60's for drag racing and motorcycles but I am sure they are owned out of this country by now.

Hi We are Newbie's to your site and just joined. Know that is will be helpful to us as we have not been riding for nearly 20+ years, and lots has changed since being 20Something riding a street bike. Looking for a little advise. Just bought an 05 RSV at the beginning of June and loving the evening rides with my wife. We are looking to equip our Bell Shorty helmet with headset to use the Comm system on the bike. Any recommendations for us? Is there any Bluetooth wireless that could be used on Shorty helmets? I am interested in adding headsets to the 07 RSV I got about a month ago. I checked J&M and Yama and the price seems high. I use a shorty type helmet. Can anyone help me? Carl Rainear 07 Venture

Talked the dealer into giving me a short windshield when I bought the RSV 06 since the one on there was a bit scratched up. They didn't have it so they left the tall one on and gave me the shorty when it came in. Never got the shorty out of the box. After some riding, and reading in forums, the part that can make the most noise (read significant other here) has said that she does not want the shorty on. Since I do not like unnecessary noises coming from the back I have decided to agree with her. (see not quite as dumb as I look after all). Any way here is the deal. If someone has a full height windshield in great shape (i.e. like new) and wants a shorty still in the box I will work a swap with them. Just PM me. Hi I was wondering if anyone had an old windshield that will fit my bike. I dont care on condition as I am going to cut it down to a shorty, scuff it and flame it to match my bike. Thanks in advance, Paul
