  1. looks good, it'll depend on price to see if it sells though
  2. She deserves some time off the way you work her to the bone. Let her rest a bit and then bring her out to the garage and show her what chrome looks like. After that give her the keys to the car, so that she can go job hunting,,,, but wait at least 'til morning eh?
  3. Somewhere I remember that the works off of the old Gold Wings worked. May want to look into that thought.
  4. Just a little thinking here as well. Tire states max tire pressure and max load. Maybe add up your load, bike, gear and rider(s), then divide it all somehow so that it works out as to how much load you have on each tire. Now you have the load on the tire, which might be increased a little depending on how you ride. Now check to see how close you are to max load, and then adjust pressure to suit. As we inflat the tire, we have less contact patch which is the all important secton between us and the road, it provides traction, for cornering and braking, the less you have, the slicker things get. If we run too soft, we have a heating up problem and a side roll issue along with the fact that the rubber will let loose. Too hard and we loose traction and keep the rubber too cool to flex properly. JMT Carl
  5. It has everything that the 660 has????? well the 660 didn't have the 999, what ever that is for.
  6. I finally did it, found a picture of Marca and me together. Some others wanted in as well, but I had to cut them out,,,, they'll have to post their own,,,,,,,Sorry Wayne.
  7. Every morning it's a new day, and with each new day comes zero points. If you make 100 points in the morning you stand to loose a quick 100 points on your first mis-step, so best to wait until close to the end of the day to make points, that way maybe they'll pay off before it's lights out. JMT Carl PS, Good going Gary, you must have timed it right.
  8. Are you eating him,,,, might as well,,,,,,

    Lost a Pet

Gonna be different without her,,, it always is when something or someone, that's been around and part of your life goes away. We feel for you all. Time will heal, we hope. Carl
  10. That sure is not good news, she will be prayed for as well as yourself. God Speed, for a quick recovery and patience in the mean time. Carl

    Where ?

Now where else would one find sooo much BS in one little spot, first we can discuss why and not find an answer and now we have to submerge ourselves in wares, what kind, and whos' color and how deep will it be. We must set some parimeters to keep control on all this or we'll overload the server, except we don't know where it is or how big it really is, so we're still at wear(ing) it out. If this doesn't make any sense, then you've read it right. I don't have any idea of where is, other than she eloped with who, but we really don't know why, or when they'l be back, or even IF they are coming back. Now IF they do,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,kaka
  12. I have a 660 and after getting used to it, I am quite happy with it. I bought it through a glitch through a friend of mine and so paid more than I would have wanted to. It was still $100 cheaper than buying it on line, but more than I had wanted to spend. I don't use the bluetooth, but it does work just fine, what I do miss is the FM transmitter, that would have been a handie thing to leave in the programing. I upgraded from a Xog, made by Lowrance, a nice unit but you can't read it in the sun, bright or not. Woulld I buy one again? I guess I would, but only if it gave me the features that I wanted and didn't have right now. In other words, if you have a 450, or a 550, and you aren't looking for the missing features, stick with what you have. PS, I don't have any locking up issues, it boots fast, recalulates fast, redraws fast (it has to, because I often make the 'wrong' turns) and can be easily read in bright sunlight. PS It comes with all the needed hardware and it's easy to mount and dismount. It also reads whether or not it's on the scoot or not. Handie that!!!!!

Nice post, I really enjoyed it all. Carl
  14. I hear that while you're away, there is a contractor working on the pool banks to make them slope a little more sharply, and something to do with the drive as well, seems too much snow gets piled up in the center so the sides are being moved out some. Anyways, just some grape vine news, and you know what part of the country that comes from. And CONGRATS on the the other thing. Don't know what all the hoopla is about, but I suppose we're all glad for you,,,,,, after all she a Grand Lady, and you is lucky,,, but thenso is she. God Bless you two, as He has in the past. Carl
  15. Hey now, don't go blaming that pretty little nurse,,, after all, she was just told yesterday by her boss that they have a business to run, and it needs to make money, so don't be doing anything stupid like taking on non paying customers. Yep, that's the way it is,,, she might want to care for you,,, that's why she's a nurse, but she wants her job more,,, after all she needs to pay bills as well. Did I say this was right? NOPE, but that's the way it is. Around here, it's all 'Free', you just have to show your card,,,, but you'll wait until something freezes over before you get looked at, unless you have chest pains, then they get to you in time. Enough soap box. Carl,,,, who can't wait for the next life, but is totally enjoying this one anyways.

    Why?

Didn't anybodies mother tell them not to ask WHY? Also not to say WHAT, but use PARDON ME instead?????? and if you didn't know WHERE, they would show you?? ouch that would hurt,,,,couldn't sit for days and as far is Who is concerned,,, if you didn't know then it didn't concern you so shut up,,, I mean keep quiet. Now as to WHY???????? it's in the road,, they put it there to confuse people with undersized thinking capacities. Guess it's working.
  17. The nurse will probably tell you that you should have read the rules first. Rule #1, YOU EAT THE DANGED HAM FIRST, then there are no leftovers!!!!!! Sorry boss, but rules are rules and you must learn them,,, sometimes the hard way. Hope you feels better real soon. Had Marca with the gout for two days before Christmas. Things were going real well for her. looked like a Christmas with no cold or flu to deal with,, but gout came along for a ride, so we had to deal with that. It's good now, took a little medicine to fix it quick. God Bless you my friend Carl
  18. You lost more than yesterday,,, but don't woory none, I'm still here!!!
  19. How dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????
  20. Um di dum,, dum, dum de dum,,,,,,ohhlaa la la la la,,,,,,,ummmmpoooooo umhm did Ja 'e can get to de end of it for shure.
  21. I was a radio listener at one time, then I realized that all they wanted to do was to take over my thinking,,,,,,all the time, not that it produces much anyways, but the little thinking my brain can do, I would like to leave it do. So I don't miss radio at all,, but I do have music on my Garmin,,,,, only about 400 songs, and with my capacity for remembering??? by the time I hit 400 I can't remember what # 1 was, so we start again. This plays through my stereo in the car, truck and on the bike. The bike is hardwired thanks to the Mother Fix.
  22. Thanks Charlie, we can use reality more. Wish you a Blessed Christmas
  23. I wouldn't even take it around the block. The scoot rides the same and has the same results if you are riding around the block or going on a trip. Doesn't seem to matter to the scoot at all, it'll dump you off just as easy on one or the other. 'course going around the block when it dumps you off may save a bit on transportation expenses for those who have to look after the remains, scoot is closer to home and the ugly parts don't need to have such a fancy car to ride in. Got the picture?
  24. I have a refrigerated van, all sprayed with foam and then covered with bed-liner. I used Poly Tec this time, and two other brands in the past. It all worked out good but maybe not something that is DIY. I had an inexperienced body man do it once and he made a mess. It did work but it cost me a fortune and it wasn't all that nice looking, serviceable but not pretty, and that was on painted plywood. Carl
  25. Really guys it's quite simple. Undo the wrapping on the roll, insert the thingie in the middle, find the holder on the wall, and mount it. Which ever way it comes off, it comes off. One time you're happy, the next time she thinks she got you trained. If you do it the same every time it looses it's intention. It's there so that she can tell when to train you on the next job. Once she has you trained on the toilette paper she'll try training you on something else and I'm happy not having to do the dishes.
