There could also be an issue with the wiring being too light to feed everything properly, but my best guess would be to look at the hot side connections to make sure they are good and clean and tight. We had a similar issue with Wizard765's bike last year with his newly installed bumper,,, drove him nuts as it was his scoot,,,, me?????? my worked fine so it was his problem:whistling:,,, and we tried everything. Finally he said he was going to install relays to the signals and brake lights, so the original circuit would run the relay and the power for the lights was then to be run through a new #14 wire,,,I thought,,well if you want to do the work, who am I to argue,, you know, kind of sceptical ???,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sh*t,,it worked.

If the lights dim only on the trailer, then the trailer is the culprit, but if the bike does it as well then look for a ground problem on the bike. If your bike is not running this issue will come up as well even though your grounds may be in good shape, so to be sure put a charger on your battery as you do these tests, then you'll be sure to have enough power to properly feed the system.

just can't figure out why somebody hasn't told him to plug it into the kitchen socket yet,,, it'll be real bright then,,,,,,,,, don't do it Charlie,,,,you might blow a fuse.

Mine may not be 'legal' but they are on all the time. The only time my low beam is used when there is oncoming traffic at night, and in town,,,,, that's if I remember to go to low beam when I'm supposed to, but my driving lights are on alllllll the time.

Nice ride there bro,,,,, now don't go getting it dirty, or Becky may have to be employed. Waiting to see it all DRESSED up.

There just is nothing as good as a grand ride, on a great day, with good folks. I had a wonderful time: cool start, warmed up some for the middle of the day and then had it all blown away at the end of it all. Got home about 9:30 pm and noticed that it was a day well spent. Thanks Tom, you can do it again anytime,,,, just remember the rule: THERE MUST BE ICE-CREAM. You got lucky this time!!!!!

One Fuze, too many systems out.. wow
Marcarl replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Sometimes the fuse blows from overloading it,,, and sometimes it blows just to get you thinking and worrying over it. So every once in a while, take it out of there, hold it tight, caress it a little, just to let it know that you haven't forgotton,,, and you think women are the only ones needing attention? -
Nice looking ride there, senior. Just keep the trailer attached,,, it may save the scoot.

I've ridden those routes,,, nice places to visit and good routes, but the inbetween and local roads have a lot more to offer for small groups, or lone riders.

Good for you, the first while it's always a worry, so if the first week comes out clean, it sets the confidence level. Now don't go worrying too much about the bad weeks, there'll be lots of them, so be prepared, but don't get down hearted.

In my opinion, and only mine, I would shug those sterring head bearings a bit more,,, doesn't take much, just a few degrees, but may make a world of difference. After all, there will be a next time or even if there isn't there may be some other, GOOD, reason to let loose, and if she will do it, then you may well take her there, and you want to be as safe as possible.

You've got to use plainer language for Brad, other wise he has to get Naugh-T involved. -
I think I miss the YICS
Marcarl replied to GigaWhiskey's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Check those carb boots to make sure they are seated all the way around, and did you make sure the little O-rings were in place when you did the diaphrams?, and how did you plug the wholes for the YICS. -
i put mine right on top of the airbox, real close to the battery so to clear the cover. Seems to work alright, I know some are fuzzie as to where they work, but so far I've heard no complaints,,,, maybe the music is tooo loud,,,

Fork alignment question....
Marcarl replied to 1BigDog's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Check the top ends of the forks, if I have it right for the 2nd gens they should be the same as on the 1st gens,,,,,and that is that the top of the forks should be level with the top member of the triple tree. If you didn't tighten something well enough then the fork may have pushed through the triple tree and so give you the lean you mention.
