  1. Yesterday, hwy 54 between Cayuga and Caledonia, curvy road along a river, speed limit 80 kph,,,, farm equipment doing his thing, then a Ferrari, can't wait to get past a BMW big boat tailing the Ferrari, a SUV, then an 85 Venture 2 up,, then 2 more cages, and then 2 more bikes.. yep you guessed it,,, the last in the line needs to first so he cranks it wide open and passes it all in the nick of time,,,, not in the right hand track though, he gives lots of room so takes the outside track and is not visible to the BMW or the Ferrari,,,, nearly got punched,, ooohhhh that was close,, the 85 already was braking in anticipation, and momma was squeezing the sides of my torso. IDIOT !!!!!!
  2. Coppers know it well,,, keep your eyes open!!!!!! it sure is a fine place to ride though!!
  3. You should be alright just by removing the rear wheel, give what you see a thorough cleaning and then regrease the necessary parts. Use a good Moly grease though, not just axle grease.
  4. My wife, Marca, got herself into a slight car accident yesterday. A young fellow, a customer of ours who feels really sorry now,,, made a left hand turn in front of her, but didn't push the gas quite hard enough and got caught in the act at the last milli-second. As the pictures show, really little damage was done, but it totals to $3200.00, mostly because it's a Saab and a 95 at that,, so,,, few used parts around. Question is,,, how does one deal with the adjuster when he comes around to make a FINAL offer,,,, I think they'll want to write it off,,, so how do I maximize my end????
  5. Sounds somewhat interesting,,,,, you go,,,, decide on the day,,,, and we'll see,,, that's the best I can do for planning from this end.
  6. Got you covered as well,,,, take it easy,,, give it time and lots of prayer from you,,,, then our prayers will work much better
  7. Check to make sure that the hoses for the gauges are not collapsed, and that the restrictors are not plugged. You could remove the restrictors to see if that would give you more vaccum, but don't rev the engine, the higher vaccum can cause some unwanted reactions. If you have vacuum without the restrictors, then they are your problem and you will need the either clean them or replace them before you can do a sync.
  8. Guess we might need a picture or better description of square,,,, seems kind of strange to me.
  9. Black ones with reflective silver stripes. Also comes with a hoodie that goes under the helmet. Along with that, we have rain boots that go over our riding boots and cover the calf of our legs as well.
  10. Know what you mean: I'm too busy today with self, will have to do it tomorrow, but tomorrow never seems to come. Thanks for the reminder. Carl
  11. 3 years ago, I cleaned mine with an orange based cleaner and steel wool and then finished up with a product called: Classic Cloth, made by none other than Classic Cloth International,(who'd thought) Box 88842 Sioux Falls, South Dakota,57105. Product # 188. I haven't had a problem cleaning them since. The painted part get dirty and is harder to clean, but the aluminum rim part, cleans up real easy,,,, not that I clean it that often, but that stuff sure works, it's a bit of effort the first time, but after that it's a breeze,,,,,,can't believe it actually came from the States,,,,WOW.
  12. i was having troubles with the site,,,, now i know why,,,,, my screeen just didn't want to show the letters i typed,,, but it's ok now that your back,,,, i'll keep that inn mind for nxet tmie.
  13. HI. So you asked the question, and now here is some answers. Our VentureIn is an all day thing, starts at 8 am or there abouts and goes 'til the end of the day,,, and that's different for everybody, some stay an hour, others hang in there until the bitter end,,, usually when I go to bed at around midnight. There is no hard rule that you need to stay up that late on that day, however,, you may have other things to do, but that is kind of the way it goes,,, just for us. We do a BBQ lunch right at noon or thereabouts,,, that's after we gab and tell stories for the morning and drink coffee and what ever else suits our fancy. After lunch as the girls clean up we talk about bikes, tires, cleaning, grass, boots, gear, carbs, lawns, weeds, and wonder how much longer it will be before the girls are all cleaned up and ready to ride,,,,,, which usually happens around 2 pm. This year the planned ride will take us to about 300 minutes from the falls, so you might want to join us for that as well. There are 2 riders that I know of that might be able to guide you from the Falls to Brantford, the one is Dragerman and the other is Midicat. Send either one a PM, they are real nice guys and you'll be sure to enjoy their company. Carl PS, just remembered why we ride, it's to eat,,,,, so supper is planned at the Queens Hotel in Dunnville, about an hour from the Falls.
  14. Go Taters Go, we're with you all the way, and so is He,,, if YOU ask Him.
  15. Looks good Charlie,,, never mind what anybody else has to say,,,,,,,,, but it's good they are fake, otherwise you'd have to explain where the air comes from to put through those 'air intakes'.
  16. A bit breezy and somewhat wet, from what I can tell at this point. I don't care for either and am happy just to keep working on my ponch,,errrr,,,, porch. It may change by morning but I kind of doubt it. Carl
  17. 26 Madelaine Road, Brant. That's my place, then you'll know where I live (don't know if that's a good thing) and I'll know if others can find it on the 29th.
  18. We talked about him, you and I, I think you will miss him. Our condolences to you, and I hope you can find someone to help fill the empty space somewhat. Carl
  19. That's why we don't plan on where to go until we have taken stock of who's coming along,,, so if you come on the evening ride, we would end up near Dunnville somewhere,,,, just to be accommodating,,,,, As for Wednesday aft,,,, sure sounds good,,, I'll need fresh fuel for after 6, so this gives me a way to clean out the old stuff,,,,,,,, Ya I know, it's been almost a week since I refueled, so I don't trust it so much,, time for some fresh stuff again.
  20. I would think that they could just get one of those BIG FAT CATS to go and sit on the end of the pipe,,,,, that should shut it done right pronto,,,,,, if not, feed him some beans before they send him down there. As it is, there must be good money to be made with this somehow, it seems almost unrealistic that it would take sooo long to shut down one pipe. You would think that there would have been a backup plan somewhere.
  21. For the last 3 years we had a Tuesday night, ride night,,,, this year we ride on Wednesday nights. Leave our place, 26 Madeleine Road, Brant, (new address) at 6:30 pm, if that works. If earlier or later would be better, let me know. We ride for the joy of riding and BS. Normally we ride for 'coffee' or ice cream, until it's just about dark. We have no real destination and don't really know what direction that is in, until we leave,,,, kind of all depends on who's coming along. You don't have to post that you're coming, Marca and I will ride anyways,,,but if you are later than 6:30 you might find us gone. If we know you want to join up,,,we can wait. Starts this Wednesday May 5 2010.
  22. What have you been doing???????????? take it a little easy on that second gen, at this rate it'll be worn out before you!!!
  23. So what are you doing this Wednesday?
  24. I notice that with the new add-on no 'elmets are required,,,, should catch on real fast, I'm gonna put in a stock of those,,,, maybe better than the meat business.
  25. Have you got a picture? If I'm thinking right you only broke off the cover that covers the filler plug, not a biggie. The drain is at the bottom and the filler plug is half ways up at the rear of the pumpkin. The plug needs an allan wrench to take it out, and the cover prys off,,,,,but a picture would help.
