Problem is,,, once all the paperwork and consulting is done, we can then do the job without any worries, and so pay no attention to anything that might be going south,,, after all, it can't, can it? we did the the necessary steps and all the paperwork is filled out,,, right?????

Stalled and sweaty, why?
Marcarl replied to Dave77459's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
My guess is that when you removed the tank you disturbed something that caused dirt to block the fuel line. Check your bowls, bleed them out and then see if the pump will run, and how it runs. If it runs normal, then see how clean the bowls are again. If it doesn't run normal, change the fuel filter. -
Thanks Eck,, just what I was looking for,,,, now how to get it to Canada,,,, don't worry, I got ideas and I hope friends. Speakers sound horrible and even then I get told it's tooooooo loud. Maybe it's just my singing along.

So now that I have Ed-sets and have put some foam behind the helmet speakers,,, the music is awesome,,,, I actually listen to some of my tunes on my GPS. Seems everything good brings along something else to deal with. It's either I'm going deaf or Marca hears too well,,,, I think it's the later,,,,, either way, when I turn on the music she says it's a way too loud and so when I get it where she's happy, I can hardly hear it. So what I need now is a volume control that will fit the 5 pin cord that 83's to 85's come with. Is there such a thing?

So what does one do about sore butt cheeks. My back is fully fine, no sore shoulders, tail bone has no complaints, but the cheeks start their complaining after about an hour or two. Give my butt a lift for a minute and then I'm good again for about 30 minutes, seems to be a circulation problem maybe,,,,any ideas? I've tried sheepskin, beads, memory foam, butler style mod,,,, it all didn't make no difference.

I knows,, somewhat, of how good that must feel,,,,,,,, now if it don't feel a lot better soon,,, maybe I could come down there and feel you better,,,,,,, did I say that????

Yesterday, hwy 54 between Cayuga and Caledonia, curvy road along a river, speed limit 80 kph,,,, farm equipment doing his thing, then a Ferrari, can't wait to get past a BMW big boat tailing the Ferrari, a SUV, then an 85 Venture 2 up,, then 2 more cages, and then 2 more bikes.. yep you guessed it,,, the last in the line needs to first so he cranks it wide open and passes it all in the nick of time,,,, not in the right hand track though, he gives lots of room so takes the outside track and is not visible to the BMW or the Ferrari,,,, nearly got punched,, ooohhhh that was close,, the 85 already was braking in anticipation, and momma was squeezing the sides of my torso. IDIOT !!!!!!

Coppers know it well,,, keep your eyes open!!!!!! it sure is a fine place to ride though!!

You should be alright just by removing the rear wheel, give what you see a thorough cleaning and then regrease the necessary parts. Use a good Moly grease though, not just axle grease.

My wife, Marca, got herself into a slight car accident yesterday. A young fellow, a customer of ours who feels really sorry now,,, made a left hand turn in front of her, but didn't push the gas quite hard enough and got caught in the act at the last milli-second. As the pictures show, really little damage was done, but it totals to $3200.00, mostly because it's a Saab and a 95 at that,, so,,, few used parts around. Question is,,, how does one deal with the adjuster when he comes around to make a FINAL offer,,,, I think they'll want to write it off,,, so how do I maximize my end????

Low vacumn during carb syncing
Marcarl replied to Scudrunner's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Check to make sure that the hoses for the gauges are not collapsed, and that the restrictors are not plugged. You could remove the restrictors to see if that would give you more vaccum, but don't rev the engine, the higher vaccum can cause some unwanted reactions. If you have vacuum without the restrictors, then they are your problem and you will need the either clean them or replace them before you can do a sync. -
Guess we might need a picture or better description of square,,,, seems kind of strange to me.

Black ones with reflective silver stripes. Also comes with a hoodie that goes under the helmet. Along with that, we have rain boots that go over our riding boots and cover the calf of our legs as well.

3 years ago, I cleaned mine with an orange based cleaner and steel wool and then finished up with a product called: Classic Cloth, made by none other than Classic Cloth International,(who'd thought) Box 88842 Sioux Falls, South Dakota,57105. Product # 188. I haven't had a problem cleaning them since. The painted part get dirty and is harder to clean, but the aluminum rim part, cleans up real easy,,,, not that I clean it that often, but that stuff sure works, it's a bit of effort the first time, but after that it's a breeze,,,,,,can't believe it actually came from the States,,,,WOW.

HI. So you asked the question, and now here is some answers. Our VentureIn is an all day thing, starts at 8 am or there abouts and goes 'til the end of the day,,, and that's different for everybody, some stay an hour, others hang in there until the bitter end,,, usually when I go to bed at around midnight. There is no hard rule that you need to stay up that late on that day, however,, you may have other things to do, but that is kind of the way it goes,,, just for us. We do a BBQ lunch right at noon or thereabouts,,, that's after we gab and tell stories for the morning and drink coffee and what ever else suits our fancy. After lunch as the girls clean up we talk about bikes, tires, cleaning, grass, boots, gear, carbs, lawns, weeds, and wonder how much longer it will be before the girls are all cleaned up and ready to ride,,,,,, which usually happens around 2 pm. This year the planned ride will take us to about 300 minutes from the falls, so you might want to join us for that as well. There are 2 riders that I know of that might be able to guide you from the Falls to Brantford, the one is Dragerman and the other is Midicat. Send either one a PM, they are real nice guys and you'll be sure to enjoy their company. Carl PS, just remembered why we ride, it's to eat,,,,, so supper is planned at the Queens Hotel in Dunnville, about an hour from the Falls.

Looks good Charlie,,, never mind what anybody else has to say,,,,,,,,, but it's good they are fake, otherwise you'd have to explain where the air comes from to put through those 'air intakes'.

A bit breezy and somewhat wet, from what I can tell at this point. I don't care for either and am happy just to keep working on my ponch,,errrr,,,, porch. It may change by morning but I kind of doubt it. Carl

26 Madelaine Road, Brant. That's my place, then you'll know where I live (don't know if that's a good thing) and I'll know if others can find it on the 29th.

We talked about him, you and I, I think you will miss him. Our condolences to you, and I hope you can find someone to help fill the empty space somewhat. Carl
