  1. Air pressure is quite relative,,,, not your relative, but maybe relative enough,,,,, so it all depends, in this case, on the air pressure on the bike,,,, and if that were me at times,,,progressive is an understatement!!!!!!
  2. It's possible that you have a leak in the slave cylinder, but in reverse. I would suggest taking the slave out and giving it a good cleaning. My theory is that as it draws back, it sucks in some air. It doesn't take much air to screw up the clutch.

    CHEAP

Now I don't like anything cheap. Cheap generally doesn't perform the way it should, and mostly ends up costing more as a result. The sweetness of low price is soon forgotten in the bitterness of poor quality. So that being said, I think we are getting an awesome deal at $12.00 US for the help that this forum provides. Such a deal in fact, that if I were to buy a magazine subscription to try to capture anywhere near close what I get here,,,,,, at $12.00 I would not even think twice about the supposed results, but instead, look for something that would actually do the trick for me,,,,,,, and then,,,,,,, I would have to wait months or maybe even years for them to come across with the info I would need. OK ENOUGH,,,,,,, This site is worth a lot more than $12.00 US,,,,,,, I'm going to send at least $12.00 CDN. So if you feel the sameway I do, about value for trade,,,, do your thing and bump up the $12.00.
  4. I'd say, for peace of mind, take them apart and do the right thing. Also, don't save the oil, there is a possiblity of it getting contaminated with dirt or dust, and that would not be a helpful thing in the forks.
  5. I think then that somebody should be there to keep an eye out for Charlie,,,,, or maybe Brad,,,,,,,darn, now I'm not sure who I would trust the leastest.
  6. It sure is nice to read all these reply's,,,we get to know about each other in some ways,,, kind of neat. Now I'll throw something at you and you'll have to turn it around and think backwards: so you go solo on your ride,,, not necessarily too far,,,,, maybe just for an hour or so,,,,, you come back home and your wife has slipped and fallen down the stairs,,,,, she may not be hurt,,,, or,,,,, you fill in the blanks,,,, is it any different on a bike.?. Point is, accidents do happen, anywhere and at anytime,,,, and our time comes when it comes, that is not in our hands, but in the hands of our Creator. So don't be reckless, be somewhat careful,,, too careful and you'll over do it, and then leave the rest in the hands of Man that stills the waters.
  7. Sometimes when wires run parallel to each other there will or can be 'cross talk'. Your antenna may have been running close to another wire and so caused this problem. Sometimes twisting the wires en-route will help the problem if they cannot be routed differently.
  8. If you have a 'mudflap' on your front fender,,,, check it.
  9. NOPE,, not going there,,,,nosiree.
  10. Does this say something,?,? Does cold have something to do with Brad??????
  11. Should 'ave bought some 'now tyres while you were 'hopping,,,,,where was your 'ead?????
  12. So why do you need all that air,,,,inquiring minds need to know,,,,actually, I'm just being nosey.
  13. I generally make sure that the joint is facing down, transmissin in neutral, and then I insert the shaft to the u-joint. When they mate I turn the shaft and push at the same time. Mostly works just fine the first time.
  14. As odd as it might seem, try a temp run of #14 wire to the back with a relay installed. Somehow I tend to think it's the LED's, although they don't need much amperage they do need full voltage to operate well.
  15. If you are worried about how it will fair out, I could be persuaded to make a trial run for ya,,,,Marca would want to go as well, just to be sure that the weight ditribution and such were right.
  16. There is a spacer on the brake side that you may want to keep at home. It's not needed and will only get lost. You will need it for reassembly though. Clean the hub on both side, grease with a good moly grease, and then put it back together. Carl
  17. just when you think you know all bout how to ride,,, you get on a tiny scoot such as that, and it straightens you out,,,real quick kind of like.. Hope you heal well and soon. God bless Carl
  18. A woman 'brewing' a child has to be to most beautiful, I'm agreed,,,, my wife,, oh never mind this is about you two. Congrats and may God bless you both as you anticipate a family. Ice cream is important, and just in case you don't like it much, I'll help out and have some for you,,, starting tonight. Carl
  19. There could also be an issue with the wiring being too light to feed everything properly, but my best guess would be to look at the hot side connections to make sure they are good and clean and tight. We had a similar issue with Wizard765's bike last year with his newly installed bumper,,, drove him nuts as it was his scoot,,,, me?????? my worked fine so it was his problem:whistling:,,, and we tried everything. Finally he said he was going to install relays to the signals and brake lights, so the original circuit would run the relay and the power for the lights was then to be run through a new #14 wire,,,I thought,,well if you want to do the work, who am I to argue,, you know, kind of sceptical ???,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sh*t,,it worked.
  20. If the lights dim only on the trailer, then the trailer is the culprit, but if the bike does it as well then look for a ground problem on the bike. If your bike is not running this issue will come up as well even though your grounds may be in good shape, so to be sure put a charger on your battery as you do these tests, then you'll be sure to have enough power to properly feed the system.
  21. just can't figure out why somebody hasn't told him to plug it into the kitchen socket yet,,, it'll be real bright then,,,,,,,,, don't do it Charlie,,,,you might blow a fuse.
  22. looking pretty good,,,,a real nice 85.
  23. Mine may not be 'legal' but they are on all the time. The only time my low beam is used when there is oncoming traffic at night, and in town,,,,, that's if I remember to go to low beam when I'm supposed to, but my driving lights are on alllllll the time.
  24. Nice ride there bro,,,,, now don't go getting it dirty, or Becky may have to be employed. Waiting to see it all DRESSED up.
  25. There just is nothing as good as a grand ride, on a great day, with good folks. I had a wonderful time: cool start, warmed up some for the middle of the day and then had it all blown away at the end of it all. Got home about 9:30 pm and noticed that it was a day well spent. Thanks Tom, you can do it again anytime,,,, just remember the rule: THERE MUST BE ICE-CREAM. You got lucky this time!!!!!
