  4. We will be ready at 7 am to leave our place in Brantford, and head for the Pioneer in Kitchener to be there at 8 am,,,,, any body joining us? As usual, we plan on being a little late so we should be leaving by 7:30 in order to arrive at the appointed spot for 8:15, it's only about a half hour ride,,, if we start on time,,,,,,,
  5. That would be in Kitchener, on hi-way #8, Sports World Drive, close to the 401, used to be the Tu-Lane Restaurant, almost in Preston.
  6. Is he gone yet????
  7. Normally there is a resistor already in the line,,,, the green wire. Maybe you haven't cut it off and it is still there,,, if so, you're cool.
  8. I've tried the chiropractor for such aches, but since have gone to a massage therapist. Now I live mostly pain free, but this past week it was my right shoulder, it got worse at MD but riding was fine. Now I do stretches as well as massage and that sure helps as well. The stretches are suggestions from my long distance personal trainer,,, my very own flesh and blood daughter in Ottawa.
  9. Ya, it took him a few miles to get used to a real ride,,,,, but he did smile a lot,,,,,, I think 'mikey' likes it a lot!!!!!
  10. I've been running Silver Star for 3 years now probably around 40k km, no issues and no need to replace it.
  11. Sounds like about a 14 hr day,,,, can you shorten the route? so that we end up with about a 10 hr day?
  12. Must be Dutch,,,, now having the gov paying for going outside to pick up a lawn chair that he forgot to pick up and now can blame it on the earth quake,,,,, well it did come from Ottawa didn't it???? Now if they do pay, they admit fault and therefore he can then bill them for the use of the lawn, the upkeep of the lawn, the feeding of the lawn, the cost of putting the house in front of the lawn to keep the unwanted off the lawn, any water the lawn may need, the use the lawn would get from other constituents who may want to use the lawn to do what ever they do on lawns,,,,,,,,,,, Ya Saddlebum may get rich yet!!!!!

Good to be reminded of once in a while, especially in a humorous sort of way.
  14. So how many hours are we talking with this ride, what time do we expect to be back in KW if we do the full thing?
  15. I was trying to be creative???????? YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doesn't often work. I really like Nannygoat. You are looking after him real well, ain't ya? So he's a goat and you the nanny.
  16. ey: is not a word we know of ay: is a term of affirmation and mostly used by the English eh: is CANADIAN, and therefore to be used in Canada, by Canadians, or by Canadians abroad to identify themselves as Canadians, or by others who want to be identified as Canadians. It is not to be loosely, as we, THE REAL CANADIANS will turn the wrath of the Newfies on y'all. Just so you all know!!!!!
  17. The way I understand it from history, is that before you can change your aka, you must first approach the boss, who then puts out a poll, on which we can all comment and vote. Only under extreme circumstances and dire conditions is this done, for the time and effort involved in such a major mix-up is just unbelievable. To be able to convince the boss, you must first be able to identify who he (the boss) is, then convince him and us of the undesirability of the present aka and the full appropriateness of the new one to be chosen. After the certain individual member has, (if able) convinced the higher up, it must then go to the membership for approval, during which any group or or individuals acting as a group can have a veto. After the full approval process has been completed and approved, it must then test the waters, so to speak. This part of the process usually takes a little longer, for it includes another poll in which at least 75% of the membership needs to vote, annnnd write a comment as to why they would approve such a momentous change. Throw in the fact that from the 75% that vote, it takes a 90% approval rate, it could take a day or two before the full process is complete. I really don't know who came up with the above 'by-law', but personally I think it to be ludicrous, unstable, non-workable, time consuming, rights infringing, stupid, and politically incorrect. So I make a motion to change the process to something much more simple, but we will need to have a poll, and all the percentages and another poll,,,,,, and we have to find out who the boss really is. ANYBODY???????? OK I just got out of bed.
  18. Just so you know,,,,, Don is in line for the 'getback'. There are a few others ahead of him!!!
  19. I thought you said you were all done having kids,,,,,,, oh my bad,,,,, grandkid,, now that's OK, so CONGRATULATIONS old boy,,,, there goes all your time for riding.....
  20. I'm thinking you need to go on with your story,,, but you may have run out of ink. What would have happened if you had left it sitting there by the garage? Where do you think the pond monsters came from,,,,,,VentureRiders????????? But in all, welcome and enjoy the family. 24. Seems to be missing something??????????
  25. Looks like somebody didn't spend anything on it, and ow wants you to pay him for the neglect,,,,,, look elsewhere, or offer to take it off his hands for $500.00,,,,, that's 500 in your pocket, not his,,,,,, my guess to get it into pretty condition is over $3000.00, not including labor. Forks 100 springs 100 tires 300 fluids 50 gaskets 100 swing arm bushings and bearings 200 paint 200 tune up 50 carbs 100 brake pads 200 caliper kits 100 clutch cylinder kits 100 master cylinder kits 50 steering head 100 wheel bearings 200 plastic repair 100 Well that puts us at about $2000.00. Add some for incidentals and your on the way to $3000. Take off the $500 he gives you, and you're in the right price bracket for the scoot, but you did all the work,,,,, a good feeling I suppose. My prices are all approx... some over, maybe some under, just wanted to show how easily it gets spent.
