I think I met you once, maybe twice, can't rightly remember, so I guess you must be a knowledge sucker, I did know some things before I met you, but now I'm not sure there is anything left to remember, or whether there is anything worthwhile knowing, if you know what I mean. So you must have taken it all from me,,,, it has been proven that nobody else has all the smarts that I once had, or they would be sticking out like a sore thumb, so you must have it all now. Given time you will learn how to deal with all the thoughts you have sucked from me, slowly they will dawn on you as light is allowed to enter dark, but be careful, for some of those thoughts carry awesome responsibility and responsibility causes pain, in fact it can cause so much pain that one's head would seem to want to explode with the dark of it all. In a way, I am happy to have rid of my thoughts, but it does not necessarily please me that you now have them, for if not controlled properly they can get you into lots of trouble, and that would cause more darkness. I wish you well. It is best, I have found, to stay away from humans of the opposite sex, for then your thoughts tend to be the least controllable and pain can be felt in far more places than is normal and it can get downright aggravating. Loose thoughts, as well, can be dangerous, so be careful to keep a tight rein on them. That is not as easy as it might seem at first, but in time you might learn that keeping them to yourself and not trying to share them with everybody you meet, sure outweighs the expected results.

I checked for those washers here in Canada when I did mine a couple of months ago, couldn't find anything that would do the trick, now I have stock. -

Don't think you have to touch those,,, I don't have a 2nd gen, I have a 1st gen and there is no reason to remove anything but the grips themselves. Just either blow them off with air or cut them off with a knive.

This thread started out just fine, but NOW? Hijacked again, must be us!

As far a 'leaking' seals is concerned, mine leak all the time. The grease used is not what is normally used for wheel bearing grease, but that doesn't matter, it's just ordinary axle grease, and so tends to break down and go to oil. Oil is very hard to contain in a heated pressurized situation such as this, and so I'm quite alright with it that there is a bit of leakage, kind of that is why there are springs in the bearing buddy to keep the bearings full of grease. When you see the bearing buddy recessed, then it is time to add some more grease, and the only reason you need to add more, is because you lost some, and where could you loose it, if not through the seals.

You should be able to upload right out of the program to the 660. Then when you turn on the 660, you need to go to 'my data' and then 'import data'

Air filter box
Marcarl replied to titansedriver's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I drilled 4 5\8" holes in the lid of mine,,,, can't say if it made any difference, but then mine runs fine with the filter off as well, and my mileage is as good or better than any other, not by much, but for sure not worse. -
Yep, just exactly where I put it so you could find it easier.

I find that at slow speeds, I mean slow, like 5 mph, the trailer will wiggle the bike somewhat, especially when going over bumps or through holes,,, no need to worry about that, once you put the power to the back wheel the bike will take over and you should run free and easy, and the only thing you will notice will be that your scoot will have to work harder to get up to speed. aannnnddd it will take longer to stop,,, ya that's all important,,, it takes longer to stop, what I mean with that is that it takes longer to stop.

It may clear it up and then again it may not. If you have ignition noise then most likely you have an ignition wire running too close to the frame, touching the frame or leaking (sparking) to the frame. I would check those items first. Carl PS $40.00 seems to be quite high for that item, you should be able to do much better with an aftermarket filter.
